Dreamlike camping spot overlooking the fjord! Super warm-hearted host with great tips on hikes, fishing spots, and collecting stones. Fishing equipment and hiking poles are available free of charge, and a gas grill is provided for preparing freshly caught fish. The site is still being developed; the dome tent as a communal room is fantastic. Electricity costs €5. Absolutely recommended—we will gladly return.
An absolute dream. We normally never stay longer than one night, but it was not only the area that made us stay longer—Björn’s charm did too. The peace, fishing, and hospitality made us feel very comfortable. Thank you for the wonderful time. Steffi and Perry with the mini drone (and yes... yours is definitely bigger).
Nice owner; electricity is available, and indeed you make him happy with red wine. He tells you about the area, and fishing is also possible at the bottom of the hill. There is also a beautiful view.
A fantastic host gave us two wonderful days: fishing on the fjord, a beautiful hike to Gaustadfjellet, and on the second day a bus trip to Bergen. The children caught six large pollock; the leftovers became bait for Bjørn’s crab pots. The route to Flåm via the small roads along the inner Osterfjord was also fantastic. Highly recommended for two nights!
Nice spot to stay for a few days. Nice view. Down the road a nice spot to fish. Bus station close by. Cycle to Frekhaug and take the boat to Bergen (10€). Nice view on the way to Bergen and back. The host: nice guy! Offer him a drink and listen to hid advice about roundtrip in Norway.
Beautiful location with a magnificent view. Friendly, helpful host. The deck at each pitch is also convenient. Four stars because it is not completely finished yet and there are no facilities (toilet/shower).
Still a bit of a construction site, but once finished, a really cool spot with fantastic fjord views! No services, but got fresh water on request. Friendly, reachable host. Easy connection to Bergen: speed ferry wasn't running, but bus 300/300E from Flatøy Terminal P+R (or bus from site) works great. Note to the host: Please limit pitches so it doesn't overcrowd and lose its charm.
Privat Parking spot with a great view and level gravel ground. Payment is cash only. EUROS are accepted. The owner is very helpful & friendly. All Typs of Campers can stay there. The dome is versital useable and is staffed with tables and chairs. The place is in a transition phase. during the day there construction going on and ends on time so one has peace and quiet in the evening and at night.
Björn, the owner, is incredibly sociable and funny. He said he accepts three currencies: NOK, EUR, and red wine. We paid with four bottles of Pinot Noir and had a fantastic stay. Free canoes at Storavatnet, only 2 km away. Perfect for riding a motorcycle to Bergen while leaving the motorhome parked. Highly recommended!
Great spot! Host Björn gave us excellent bus tips for Bergen and lent us canoes for the nearby lake free of charge. We caught many brown trout there and grilled them at the camp in the evening! Since it is a private site with only a few pitches, it is wonderfully quiet. The E39 is nearby and the Nordhordland Bridge is six minutes away. Absolutely recommended!
Spot with a beautiful view. Great idea having wooden terraces for each pitch, making it easy to set up chairs and a table. In bad weather, a kind of pavilion with tables and chairs is available. Very friendly and helpful owner.
This spot is small - offers a great way to connect to others if you are social and we used it to explore Bergen by bus and fjordboat in the morning. We got on the bus 07.27 and took this to Frehaug where we walked down to the high speed ferry taking us on a "fjordcruise" directly to Bergen Habor. Easy return in the afternoon and a great place to stay for us in our small sleeping trailer. Amazing!
