Renovated ski area, pricing traps

Far too expensive when there are so many spaces available between this car park and the town centre... Avoid this place and go to La Bourboule, where the town is beautiful and parking is easy and free!!! Kind regards.

We stayed for two nights. Very quiet and pleasant site. You absolutely must try the zip line. Lots of activities. Services and electricity were fine.

Practical site for staying in Super Besse, but without any charm. Two service cabins, one at the top and one at the very bottom. The town centre is very easy to reach on foot for the many summer activities.

Good site, close to everything and quiet.

Site close to the town centre, convenient for walking into town each morning to buy bread and pastries. You can choose your own spot, as there are not many motorhomes at this time of year. This weekend was the sixth edition of the mountain-bike trail event, and we thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Thank you to the municipality.

€15 for 24 hours. €7 for 2 hours for dumping, electricity and water. Two service points. Watch the pricing: if you exceed the end time, even slightly, you pay €7 for 2 hours plus €15 for the following 24 hours. It is impossible to renew directly for 24 hours. So that is €22 for 26 hours. The return time is uncertain, so it is better to leave and start a new 24-hour period. In low season, such as June, there is generally space.

Quiet site at this time of year, with many spaces spread across five parking zones. Close to the resort lake. Since April 2025, the price has been only €15, with services included. Note that these are parking spaces, and during busy periods, perhaps in winter, your neighbour will be parked very close to you. In May, we had no problems with overcrowding.

Top location at the foot of the slopes. We stayed three nights and heard the seasonal workers a lot at night. Almost full, with not enough electrical hookups for everyone. And a tip: leave nothing on site when you go to empty your tanks. My neighbour had his extension cable stolen in ten minutes.

Dream location: a shuttle every 20 minutes right outside, the centre 15 minutes away on foot—everything is there for a perfect skiing holiday. One minor issue: some parking champions straddle multiple spaces... a shame for the spirit of the place. The sign outside says “full” even though spaces remain. Apart from that, this is definitely an address to remember.

We arrived on 18 February 2026 at 4 p.m. and, luckily, nine spaces were available. We had a pleasant stay at this site, close to the snow front and just under a kilometre from the village. The resort is planning a transit area, which could be useful, although we did not use it.

Ideal location at the foot of the slopes in winter. Prefer the spaces at the top, as the lower section is occupied by seasonal workers who park chaotically and create noise at night—dogs, shouting, and so on. Limited electrical hookups, with several connections sharing one socket.

The site was crowded when we visited and full, so we could not stay.

The site is at the foot of the slopes, very convenient, with wastewater and cassette dumping plus drinking water. You pay at the entrance kiosk for the number of days you want, and you can extend your stay; you need to keep your code for this. However, some people are inconsiderate because they take more than their space, and some pay but end up without a place.

Very quiet site with plenty of space and excellent facilities. Well located for skiing and walking into the centre. All we were missing was good weather....

Beautiful site where everything works. Close to the resort slopes. The only drawback is the procession of snowploughs early in the morning. But they have to work.

Large site very close to the downhill and cross-country ski slopes, snowshoe trails, hiking routes and the village. The negative point is the passage of large trucks through the site, transporting snow from 6:30 or 7 a.m. This was reported to a municipal employee present at 9 a.m.; to be followed up. No Andros Trophy since 2025.

Very nice, spacious site. Some electrical sockets do not work, which is unfortunate. Yes, there are seasonal workers, but they are not troublesome. Many dumping points. It might deserve refreshed ground markings, as some lanes are narrow. The upper section is more spacious. Very well located for the ski slopes and town centre.

Well located, certainly, but the chaotic parking by some people, multiple hookups on one electrical socket because some do not work, and the seasonal workers’ trucks—with dogs roaming freely and ignoring the rules—do not justify a price of €19.50. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is friendly :D

What a disappointment this year. The chaotic parking of buses and trucks, with dogs running loose, is unacceptable. It is not our job to police the site.

Very good. At this time of year there was lots of space and it was quiet; we slept well. The village is 700 metres away, with many activities, walks using the gondola or chairlift, and more. We walked to Puy de Sancy and cycled around Lake Chauvet. €15 including electricity.

Lovely spaces at this time of year. Close to the lake and shops. A minor drawback is that the first barrier is unusable. Very poorly signposted. You need to head to the one all the way on the left. Overall, a nice site.

Still excellent in summer and winter, with views of the Puy de la Perdrix and Chambourguet. The new service facilities are clean and practical.

Large and beautiful site, a little sloped but still reasonable. Many spaces, leaving plenty of room for everyone at this time of year. Close to all the resort activities. The only drawback is the dog-sled departure point opposite the entrance, where the dogs bark a lot in the morning around 8 a.m.

The site is well located and spacious, but sloped. Given the increasingly high price, we would like not to have to endure the unbearable barking of dogs belonging to a few “permanent residents” all day—fortunately less at night. These large dogs are not even kept on leads; they roam around the site and clearly do whatever they want, as do their owners.

A well-located, quiet site. €15 is very reasonable, unless you arrive too late to renew. Then there is a €7 surcharge whether you stay longer or not. That makes the 45 minutes of lateness expensive.

Paved site but sloped and in full sun. A group of young people at the back of the site with eight unleashed dogs that bark at cats, plus rubbish beside their motorhomes and parties with unlimited music and beer. Guests coming and going noisily. Well done, Besse, for enforcing the rules displayed at the entrance. At €15, it is better to park by the roadside.

Great spot with very few people—about 30% occupied. We paid €30 for two nights, including electricity. A breathtaking view of Puy de Sancy and lots of activities right nearby. I recommend Mémé Joe for a typical meal.

I have visited Super-Besse many times on holiday, but this was my first time in a motorhome, so I was keen to try this site. The setting is certainly not very picturesque, and if it is hot, you could really roast because there are few trees and everything is paved. But the services are fine, the resort is within walking distance, it is quiet at night unless there is an unhappy dog, and the price is €15.

Large, clean, everything nearby, quiet. In midsummer there were not many people. In winter, I think we would be packed closely together.

Expensive for a pitch, especially if you do not need any services. Otherwise, the car park is well maintained. Located ten minutes from the centre.

Expensive for the limited services because, outside the season, being at the foot of the slopes is not particularly useful. It is still close to the shops, children’s play areas and the pond, which are very pleasant.

I like it just as much outside the school holidays. It would only be good to review the dumping system at the lower site, and unfortunately the seasonal workers are rather noisy. Otherwise, the price is reasonable, especially since it is at the foot of the slopes.

Excellent for a family with two boys and a dog. Electricity is available at every space and is more than sufficient: one 500 W heater, one 1,000 W heater continuously, and a 700 W microwave, without ever tripping. Plus, we are at the foot of the slopes and can do everything on foot! The playground is great for children, and in summer the lake and beach must be extraordinary. We will definitely return.

In response to Geti972: don't come here and complain! The place is great, and you are free to come and stay. The “squatters” are the seasonal workers. No spaces tonight; overflow parking is available at lot 9.
