32 Diseminado Piñeres, 39580, Santa Catalina
Been here?
Mirador de Santa Catalina is a quiet natural overnight spot beside a radio tower, with spectacular views from the picnic tables. The parking ground is dirt and somewhat level, and the area may receive walkers during the day. A continuous transformer or antenna noise can be heard, while mobile coverage is excellent. The narrow, steep road is unsuitable for motorhomes, and the area fits about 2 or 3 vans.

Magnificent view, but you cannot see it from where you park. Must-do: walk the mythology trail. Excellent network coverage, with an antenna right next to the site. A continuous noise comes from the transformer station, I think; it is less noticeable if you park in the slightly lower area. At the foot of the final climb there is a disposal area and a free water tap.Translating
Quiet area. We were alone all night. The next day there were quite a few hikers. Somewhat level dirt surface.Translating
Quiet place to sleep in nature. You only have a view from the picnic tables, and the mast makes some noise. People come to the viewpoint. We had a good night.Translating
We arrived at 7:30 p.m. on 26/08/24 in a converted Kangoo. There were a few vans, but we found a place at the foot of the antenna, directly opposite a picnic table and a magnificent view. Splendid sunset and sunrise from the viewpoint. Very quiet night.Translating
Very peaceful spot for spending the night. You can hear some noise from the relay, but nothing too bothersome. Located right next to a viewpoint with a magnificent view. There is some traffic from people climbing up to see the view.Translating
We spent a very peaceful night right next to the picnic area, with spectacular views!Translating
Perfect for spending the night in a camper beside the viewpoint. Space for two or three vans. Not recommended for motorhomes, as the road is narrow and steep, and if other vans are present there is little room to turn around at the top.Translating
We spent the night on a small area before the viewpoint where the antennas could not be heard. It was slightly uneven, but beside the antennas there is a little more noise and it is 100% level. We were alone at night, and the views in the morning, if clear, were spectacular. There is also parking farther down in a dirt car park with a snack bar.Translating
Not suitable for overnight stays. An official, developed motorhome site is 1.5 km farther on. Very beautiful view.Translating
The viewpoint offers an exceptionally beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. There are several possible places to park. You can hear the equipment on the radio masts, but it is very quiet.Translating
