1 VAMMERVIKENS CAMPING, 666 93, Gustavsfors
Been here?
A wooded campsite directly on the lake, with self-selected pitches, water views and space for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Sanitary facilities are available but older and in need of renovation and cleaning; a pitch with electricity costs 360Kr. There is a cooking area, canoe rental, swimming, walking routes and a bakery selling fresh rolls each morning.

Such a beautiful campsite. We didn’t have a reservation , but they still had a lovely spot near the water for us. Great place to stop on your way to Glaskogen National park.
Very beautiful site with charm. The pitches are lovely and can accommodate many campers, or allow you to feel almost alone. Choose your own pitch where there is no reserved sign. Excellent opportunities to explore by kayak or on foot. By bicycle, you have to ride some distance on a busier road—not ideal, but manageable.
Very nice site. Many pitches have a direct view of the water. In the morning, the baker arrives with fresh, delicious rolls. Canoe rental is available. The sanitary facilities are okay, but urgently need renovation and cleaning. Nevertheless, we would love to come back. :) With very good sanitary facilities, I would have given five stars.
We were here three years ago and were happy to return to this idyll. The sanitary facilities are showing their age but are clean. The price has increased slightly: 360 kr with electricity. In any case, we are happy to give it five stars again.
We stayed at this site from 25 to 27 August 2025. This is genuinely camping: tents, caravans and motorhomes are mixed together. It is very nice, though. The campsite is showing its age, especially the sanitary facilities, which in my opinion are in poor condition. You also have to pay extra for showers. Still, it was lovely.
Wonderful site. You can choose your own pitch if it is not reserved. Very friendly, uncomplicated staff. The owner speaks German. The sanitary facilities are basic and limited—only one men's shower—but clean. Unfortunately, credit cards are not accepted and my debit card did not work either, so payment is cash only, in kronor or euros.
What a great campsite! On arrival outside reception hours, you can choose your own pitch. Reserved pitches are marked. We stayed slightly above the lake next to the communal building, which also has a kitchen with washing-up facilities. The toilets and showers (hot water costs 10 kronor for 10 minutes) are somewhat old but reasonably clean. We will be back!
Lovely campsite with a good vibe, lots of greenery and a beautiful view of the lake. You can choose your own pitch. Every morning the baker comes by with fresh rolls. Friendly staff, a beautiful forest with walking trails and a lovely lake for paddleboarding. The sanitary facilities are somewhat old but clean. We even came back during our trip—it was that nice! Wonderful nature campsite – perfect for families A beautiful nature camping spot, especially great for kids. Beach area by the lake with safe swimming and Sup. Vibe natural and open. If you enjoy nature camping, this place is ideal. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. If you arrive when the reception is closed, just choose any spot that isn’t marked as reserved. Highly recommended!
Fantastic location. Absolutely beautiful. But dirty, outdated showers and toilets (and very few for the size of the site). If you're happy with 1970s type facilities and blind to grime and smells, then this is the site for you.
Very nice, quiet campsite. Very friendly female operator who also speaks German. Dogs are welcome. We have been here several times and thought it was great. We are happy to come back.
Wonderful, unspoiled nature campsite. Everything is as previously described: sanitary facilities are old but clean and functional. There is naturally more than one shower for women—I counted three. We felt very comfortable here. The operator is very friendly and also speaks German. Reserved pitches are listed on the reception board; otherwise, free choice of pitch.
Very nice campsite directly on the lake, with a small beach and a jetty. You can rent a canoe if you wish. In the low season, reception is not always staffed; simply choose a pitch and pay later. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are quite old and there is only one women's shower. Improvement is needed, but otherwise it is very nice here.
Very friendly staff, beautiful pitches and a spacious site. Sanitary facilities are rustic but clean. The 5 km hiking trail was wonderfully beautiful. Absolute peace in the evening. Waste disposal and water services available. Hot showers with coins (10 SEK or coins from reception).
Very pleasant place. The sanitary facilities are old but clean.
Lovely, pleasant place near the water. 2 km from the main road. Very quiet and peaceful. Pleasant hosts. Recommended!
Beautifully situated site directly on the lake, with generously sized pitches. The owner is very nice. Sanitary facilities are clean and the shower is very warm. The surroundings are great for cycling, hiking and paddling. We would definitely come back. At the end of August it was not crowded.
Arrived Sunday and got the last spot. At first the site seemed lively, but it became quieter over the days, with complete silence in the evening. Very nice operator. The sanitary facilities were always clean and well maintained. Very hot water for showers and washing dishes. Great location; the lake is large and crystal clear. Excellent for paddlers. There is a shallow-water beach and several jetties around the site. Payment by debit card or cash only.
Wonderful, nature-oriented campsite with very friendly staff. Everything is a little older, but very well maintained and clean. There is an excellent café nearby, you can swim and rent canoes, and there is also a 5 km hiking trail. On some days, a local baker arrives with fresh pastries and bread for breakfast. Everything at affordable prices.
Private parking owned by the abbey; fees apply. Welcoming people for spiritual retreats or participation in religious celebrations, with prior authorization required. Great for visiting the abbey and its shop with books and local products.
This private car park is mainly provided for visiting the abbey. Overnight parking is possible with prior authorization (€3 per person) in the designated area at the back of the car park. ⚠️ This site belongs to the monastic community and regularly hosts groups for retreats and spiritual activities. The sanitary facilities are primarily reserved for these activities.
Good for visiting the city and parking overnight. The night was quiet despite people camping next door. Water top-up and toilet facilities are available. However, the parking area is sloped, and finding the ideal spot that inconveniences as few people as possible is difficult.
Only three stars because we arrived yesterday, a Sunday, and there were lawnmowers and brush cutters running all afternoon in the neighbourhood (in France, this is only allowed from 10 a.m. to noon), and today a generator has been running nonstop since this morning. Otherwise, a very warm welcome and a beautiful, very well-maintained property.
Very friendly hosts, perfectly maintained garden, quiet, clearly marked pitches, sanitary facilities as already mentioned with room for improvement, and the price is also okay.
Nice operator. Sanitary facilities are showing their age but clean. €28 for two people and a camper, including electricity. Cash preferred. Dogs allowed. Level grassy area. Dishwashing sink available.
