Noisy canalside area, nightclub nearby

We stopped at this area because it is difficult to find anything else. One night is more than enough… Very noisy, between the train and the dance hall right next door, with music until 1 a.m. Fortunately, the area is less than 10 km by bicycle from the town centre; that is the only positive point…

A nightmare finding parking! The only possible place in town is pathetic! We arrived at this paid area farther away. Only one space was available next to the waste-water outlets and a motorhome owner's junk. Avoid this area, with frequent and intense railway noise as well. The pleasant and interesting point is the setting near a nice, well-maintained riverside dance hall by the Tarn!

We arrived at 7 p.m., paid and requested the access code at the Les Cabanes du Port bar, 30 metres from the area. The area does not have many spaces, but it is perfectly adequate. Despite the nightlife venue and the train, we slept very well at night. It is about a 20-minute walk from the centre of Montauban.

We did not like the atmosphere........we left.

We arrived on Friday at the end of the day. I called the indicated number, and a very friendly person explained that I should provide my registration number and put €10 plus the registration number in the letterbox dedicated to the harbour office. I paid for my three nights this way. The train passes by, but it is not very bothersome. The lighting no longer works and one pole is broken.

A quiet place, but a little unclear how to enter. The telephone number was not in service. Fortunately, another camper arrived and knew that you could get the code at the bar. It is a shame that the permanent camper has a fake dog. Be careful. In the evening and at night it is very dark. Some lighting would certainly not be a luxury.

We spent the night in the outside parking area, a quiet place to spend the night. If you are a light sleeper, the train passes nearby; otherwise, it was fine. In the morning the police passed by, so I understand that because it is by the landing stage, it is monitored.

Quiet night. We arrived late and got the code from a friendly fellow camper. Services are fine. Some people clearly stay here for longer periods, but they are no trouble and were friendly. We had to put the overnight fee in a box at the harbour building, so bring cash.

Area near a railway line. Noisy at weekends. Some motorhome owners seem to live here year-round. Water, grey-water and toilet disposal available. Electricity not accessible, as it is locked.

Terrible. Today, at 11 a.m., we were in front of the barrier. You have to contact Les Cabanes du Port to get a code and pay. But it only opens at 5 p.m. I called the two telephone numbers shown on the sign; neither answered. I went elsewhere. Montauban does not care about us; I will spend my money elsewhere.

Small quiet corner, close to the town centre. A friendly area with quality bars and restaurants directly opposite, closing around 10:30 p.m. The railway line is very little used. I recommend it.

Pleasant little spot, with a bakery not far away offering good bread and pastries. €10 all included: water, electricity and disposal. The train noise is not very significant. I recommend it.

An area that deserves credit for existing, €10 for 24 hours, including electricity. Payment at the Les Cabanes du Port bar. The town centre is a 20-minute walk away. Evenings finish at midnight and there is no excessive noise, entirely acceptable.

Ugly area squeezed between the railway line and a huge noisy bar, with a gloomy atmosphere, even though there is a beautiful space by the canal just a little farther on where the municipality could have put the area. We certainly feel welcome…

Clean area, partly on a concrete slab and partly on gravel at the back. Be careful: when it is hot, the asphalt melts and gets onto your shoes. €10 per 24 hours, all included, with electricity; pay at “Les Cabanes du Port,” where they will give you the access code. You can eat at the same place; several riverside cafés offer different menus, including meat, sushi, salads and burgers.

Perfect for spending the night and visiting the city. A little noise from passing trains, but still bearable. We ate at the restaurant.

After calling, we were able to settle in. Small area, no view, but it allows you to visit Montauban. Services are fine.

Terminal broken and bar closed. We could not enter. What a shame.

Good location, near the port and riverside park, with a restaurant/bar as well. The entrance turnstile was faulty, but a lady was at the door and gave the code to the others; three people were queuing. The proximity to the railway tracks is not particularly noisy. Good for a quiet overnight stop before continuing your journey. All services were working and the electricity ended up being free.

No view of the harbour. Separated by concrete blocks. Spaces reserved with grates. Long-term campers who also bring their cars in. Within walking distance of Montauban and a bakery.
