Av. du Lac de Maine, 49080, Bouchemaine
Been here?
Large well-maintained campsite in a 120-hectare park near Angers (4–5km from city center via dedicated cycle paths). Four-star facilities include heated swimming pool, frequently-cleaned toilets and showers, pizzeria, and bike rentals (€9.50 per evening). €30/night for van with 2 people plus electricity; €25 without. Some pitches are narrow; the dedicated camper area is less appealing than the main campsite. Quiet location with excellent services.

The campsite is very pleasant; the sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day. Exemplary welcome for cyclists.
Relatively large international campsite, although after 7 p.m. there is hardly anything happening. There is no reception and no swimming pool (37°). Our motorhome had a large, shady pitch. The sanitary facilities were clean, but it was not clearly apparent which area was for men or women. The Wi-Fi works well throughout the site, and the pizza is delicious.
Great campsite with all the necessary facilities. €30 a night was great for a van and 2 people. Clean showers, toilets, swimming pool and bar area. Friendly staff and very quiet. We hired bikes for €9.50 for the evening and took a nice ride along the lake and river into the town centre for dinner. Recommended ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beautiful campsite, excellent welcome, very clean bathrooms and showers. The pitches fully meet the needs of every type of vehicle. The camper area next door is a little Spartan. The price is a little high: €102 for 3 nights for two people, including the cat (€12), which I had mentioned would always remain in the motorhome because it is timid. It seems a bit excessive to me. Bus to the city outside the campsite.
Four-star rating not deserved: small pitches, no maintenance of lawns and hedges, clean sanitary facilities but with a persistent smell. High prices for a pitch and drinks at the bar. During our stay, the pool was closed due to a forecast of storms and our pizza order was forgotten. I do not recommend this campsite.
Great location! But €30 for two people in a motorhome including electricity is a lot of money. Narrow pitches, so it is not quiet; the toilets and showers had still not been cleaned by 10:30.
€30 for two people with a van is not cheap, but it is a very good campsite with a warm welcome. Some pitches are a little narrow, sanitary facilities clean, showers with mixer taps. I recommend this campsite.
Well-maintained campsite with various facilities (pizzeria, swimming pool, bike rental). Angers city center can be reached by bike via mostly cycle paths (about 5 km). Considering what is offered, reasonably priced (about €30 in May).
Very nice, well-equipped campsite. Quiet. Close to the center of Angers by bike (4 km, though). The only drawback is the price (€30 per night for a motorhome for two people).
This is an excellent site. Top facilities. Very well positioned for a river cycle to the town. Lots of thoughtful touches, like bike tools etc. 25 euro no electricity.
Some pitches are quite narrow so you can be close to your neighbour, but overall a clean and decent site. Angers 15 mins away by bike through a park. Camping car area is a bit bleak, worth paying the small supplement and going in the main campsite. Excellent services and facilities.
Everything to please: the welcome, the pitches, the sanitary facilities, the pool, and even the bar-pizzeria open in the evening except Monday. Just one small flaw, which is not the campsite’s fault: do not expect to return late from Angers, 15 minutes away by public transport; the last service is between 7 and 8 p.m.
Very small pitches, in some cases barely enough room to extend the awning. Motorhome pitches are sometimes far from the sanitary facilities, and you stand on gravel. €22 reservation processing fee—for what? Friendly reception.
Very small pitch; I will not come back.
Ridiculously narrow pitches. Prices too high. Very clean sanitary facilities. Average welcome!!!!
A good option for visiting the city. Pool and adequate services. Quite expensive. Family-friendly and peaceful atmosphere. Children have a playground, and the area around the lake offers many possibilities for water sports, parks, and walks. An excellent place for family cycling, as well as plenty of gravel options (and roads too). It is next to the Loire cycle route, suitable for riding with family or alone. 15 minutes by bike from the city.
Expensive campsite for the services offered. €77.40 for 2 nights, 2 people in a motorhome. Very narrow pitch; it feels like a motorhome area, and it is difficult to open the awning fully. Dirty sanitary facilities, poorly maintained campsite. Pool closed. One beer and one non-carbonated lemonade cost €8.40. I do not recommend it, knowing that Place La Rochefoucauld in Angers has a very large parking area.
Good location for visiting the city and castle. It is 15 minutes by bike. Pitches are not very large but mostly shaded. Sanitary facilities clean. You cannot buy anything on-site, so you may want to take care of that beforehand.
We arrived on Monday 23 June. No pizzas or evening meals. The pool closes at 7 p.m. (in June, during a heatwave!). The welcome is merely courteous. Nothing to buy at the campsite or nearby. No activities. Narrow pitches. No interest; the price and star rating are unjustified.
Nice. We stayed 2 nights with a motorhome, 2 adults no children or dogs. Cost just under €30 per night with electric and water. We arrived late first night (reception closes at 7, we arrived 6.58!). We used the area for motorhomes the first night. The sanitary facilities are clean, well maintained. The campsite is crowded, long term residents. Good bar area, pizza snack bar and ok sized pool.
Very nicely located campsite. Angers is quickly reachable by bike. The sanitary facilities were clean. Since it was very hot, we were able to cool off in the pool. We chose the campsite because the pitches are long and narrow, but bordered by trees and hedges. The motorhome area appears to be newly created and is a gravel area without shade—not fun in hot weather.
Advantage: Directly by the water. Great cycle paths. Pool for kids. Friendly staff. Disadvantage: The sanitary facilities were absolutely full of disgusting spiders. Too small for the size of the campsite. Our pitch was too narrow for the size of our van.
Pleasant campsite with well-defined pitches. Impeccable sanitary facilities. Close to Angers.
Clean and welcoming campsite 5 km from Angers historic center. In my opinion, a little expensive: at the end of April, €31 for one camper and two people, with checkout at 12, so we had to move to stay a few more hours in Angers.
Clean and quiet campsite. The sanitary facilities were impeccable. We paid €29.72 for 2 adults and 2 children.
Very friendly. Large, deep pitches for the motorhome, but narrow for opening the awning. Excellent value for money. Bus 22 to the center (not on Sundays).
Beautiful, well-defined pitches. Quiet. Walks around the lake are possible. Buses to Angers nearby, as well as a cycle and pedestrian path along the Maine. Pleasant welcome. However, a very serious negative point for the service area: the water hose is used both to fill drinking water and to rinse the toilet cassette. Unacceptable for a four-star site.
Near the center but quiet, easy to access, impeccable facilities. Online reservations possible.
A beautiful site. Ideal location for visiting the city. Lots of nature. The pitch is very good. We stayed there with a camper and two people. Highly recommended.
Campsite that does not deserve its fourth star. The pitch is long but not wide. Once the awning is extended, you can eat with your neighbors. There is only a small 30 cm hedge between each pitch. The sanitary facilities are dirty; in August there are huge numbers of wasps.
The campsite was full in August. They offered us a motorhome pitch that was actually a gravel parking area without any vegetation, far from the sanitary facilities and activities, for €50 per night for 3 adults and 1 child. We left.
The staff are helpful and attentive: we were able to choose our pitch (on 1 July), and we received help with an electrical problem inherent to our vehicle.
We paid €32 to park with electric hook up. The Aire du Camping-car is scruffy and half finished. Good points are - 1. Close to Angers 2. There is a pool 3. Reception staff are helpful July 2024
We stayed in a section of the site that had recently been developed for (additional) motorhomes and was not completely finished at the time. It is a gravel and almost level area suitable for vehicles up to 8 m long. Electricity connection (CEE plug) available. Showers and toilets are clean and in good condition. Very friendly staff.
