5 Carretera del Pantano, 28696, Pelayos de la Presa
Been here?
A small campsite beside the San Juan reservoir, offering pitches, bungalows, mobile-homes, bathrooms, showers, a cafeteria and other facilities. Recent stays report €26 for one night without electricity, while another recent report says the entrance barrier costs 20 Euros at weekends and is free on weekdays. Pitches are small and uneven, and recent reports mention high prices, poor maintenance, noise and an often-closed swimming pool.

Very expensive for what it offers: €26 for one night, without electricity, for one person and two dogs. There is no laundry.Translating
Campsite okay but expensive. Important to note: when entering the campsite area, you have to pass through a barrier. On weekends it costs €20; during the week it is free.Translating
Horrible... for me, three zeros. Poor welcome at reception and bar. Very noisy, could not sleep. Music, coming and going all night. Everything is dilapidated and abandoned. To access it, you have to pass through a toll costing €10 (this is not mentioned when booking), without using the parking area since we are in the campsite. A terrible beach. Another world. The police are on alert. In case of fire, where are the firefighters????Translating
We stayed at the El Monasterio campsite, which also belongs to them and is closer to Pelayos. The campsite has seen better days; it is quite neglected and little or nothing is invested in improvements. The bathrooms are clean, but freezing cold. Hot water takes a very long time to arrive and is not very hot. The chemical toilet is only in the men's bathroom. Extremely expensive for what they offer.Translating
2 adults, 1 dog campervan no electricity €28 1 night felt a bit expensive but quickly forgot about that with gorgeous sunset/sunrise great location with hills and footpaths around the reservoir just outside we parked under trees tranquil and silent the toilets don't have hand soap but are v clean the showers have good water pressure and hot water I think we were the only people there!
Excellent staff service; the bar leaves something to be desired, and the bathrooms are fine. Small, uneven pitches, but the place is quite peaceful and next to the reservoir. The price should be lower for the services offered. I have never seen the pool open, so I cannot comment.Translating
Maximum height for access: 2.90 metres!!!! Otherwise, a lovely place.Translating
Arrived 5 pm on Thursday April 20th. No one around to let us enter -gate half locked and barrier down -looks deserted . However drive to campsite is through fabulous parking areas under trees with numerous restaurants so all was not a waste of time
