A central parking area, two minutes from the shopping streets and close to the town centre and lake. It costs 3 kr per hour on weekdays from 08:00 to 16:00, with payment only through Easypark or FaluP. Larger vehicles and trailers may find easier parking about 200 metres farther along the road. Freight trains pass in the evening and overnight, with weekday traffic starting early.

Parking used simply to take a tour of the town and walk around the lake. It serves its purpose perfectly.
A great parking spot but more suitable for smaller vehicles. For larger vehicles either trailers there is better and easier parking about 200 metres further along the road.
Spacious parking area; the town and mine are within walking distance.

We stayed 2 nights in the parking area, fairly flat and quiet at night. Many freight trains pass in the evening, the last one quite late around 10–11 p.m. One train passes during the night, around 4–5 a.m., but otherwise it is quiet. At weekends, nothing to report; during the week, there is a lot of traffic from 6:30 a.m., but people are not too noisy.

Excellent parking area, beautifully quiet. We did not hear any trains. Close to the centre. Tip: Komoot walking route around the mine. Beautiful walk!
Free parking right by the town centre.
Excellent for visiting the town, including the museum and the miners' wooden districts, but I would not stay overnight because it is right next to the railway and freight trains have no set schedule. There are waste bins.
Perfectly fine overnight stay without any services. Thrash containers are temporarily removed.
