Water, toilets and chemical-toilet disposal are available, although the toilets have recently been described as grim. Town is accessible by steps or the cliff railway, and the bays are first come, first served.

Great spot for £10 (night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.); from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. you have to pay extra. Chemical toilet can be emptied.Translating
Fantastic that Northumbria council provide this service. Water and elsan. Didn’t use the toilets as they were a bit grim. 4 large motorhome bays on a first come service. Across the road from beach and pier. Lovely spot however quite expensive night time ticket 8.00pm - 6.00am so if you arrive before 8.00pm you need a day ticket and then another day ticket from 6.00am works out at £30.00
Dedicated spaces for motorhomes and campervan, £10 for 24 hours, clean and tidy lots of walks nearby. Toilets available (although closed until 9th December) and water tap for drinking water (push button though not hose type) and chemical disposal point.
Level ground, toilets, water and chemical disposal all next to the beach, funicular and pier. Unfortunately 2 of the 4 extra long motorhome bays were taken by small VW campervans, and as there was an Enforcement officer issuing tickets to some cars while we were there he advised we would have pay for two normal bays if we wanted to overnight there.
Reasonable place; we spent two quiet nights. Easy access to town via the funicular railway. The only negative is that the public toilets are filthy; during our 36-hour stay they never appeared to have been cleaned, despite the man in orange being around all day.Translating
pay to park, limited overnight designated bays & amenities including ELSAN point & fresh water. A lovely spot with picnic benches & plenty of walks & chip shop opposite. Great place to explore
Parking spot by the road. Quiet at night. Nice beach and the Ship Inn pub nearby. Day fee £10, 9 a.m.–8 p.m.; night fee £10, 8 p.m.–6 a.m.; free from 6–9 a.m.Translating
Love it! Great location. Close to the beach, The Ship Inn pub 2mins walk, chippy across the road, everything you need for a night or two.
Excellent location next to miniature steam railway, walks along the stream to a playground and Italian garden and 5 mins from beach and the tram up to town. Street lamps at night so park carefully. Motorhome spaces were full and sought after but parked in a regular spot. Paid £10.20 for all day and £10.20 overnight. Free between 6am and 9am.
Decent park up, with extensive grassland/woodland walks immediately off it - brilliant for dog owners. Was very peaceful and has the benefit of toilets, water point and chemical toilet disposal. Saltburn itself is a small but interesting enough place, with a few nice shops, pubs and bars.
Peaceful night’s sleep here. So close to the town and beach. The little chippy across the road is delicious.Translating
Great parkup...got there about 12 midday..paid till 8pm...then £10 till 6am...free until 9am..paid for all day again £10...so all in paid £30...but was well worth it..water point.. elsen point.clean toilets..walks along the beach/country side..loads of food places/dog friendly pubs..a few campers there...loved it..felt safe..not great 3 signal but you are In a dip...Will deffo be back
Perfect coastal pitch-up, accessible toilets and plenty of space. Lovely walks nearby and a nice pub just down the road.Translating
Just a warning that the charges have now changed. I arrived at 17:00 and had to pay £17 from then until 6am the following morning. Of course I could pay a further £3 then to have a lie in but that makes it a rather expensive less than 24hr stay!!
Stayed here for one night, £10 from 8pm until 6am, then parking charges start from 9am. Toilets available, water tap, and elsan disposal. There are plenty of outlets selling food and a good pub nearby. Why can't there be more like this!
Parked in the main carpark, think overflow may have been better. Lovely setting next to small river, opposite beach and 5 minutes from the funicular. Lots of road noise. Elsan at side of toilet block. Water tap at the back. New parking charges in place, currently quite a confusing parking app! 9am - 8pm £3 for 1 hour, £5 for 2 hours, £7 for 3hours. £10 all day. 8pm - 6am £10.
The council now charges £10 for overnight stays from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.Translating
We got lucky on arrival (1pm) carpark was busy but thankfully one MH was just leaving one of the 5 spaces dedicated to MH, there is an overflow carpark with 5 Spaces parralell to the road, at 7.5m we would fit in a bay but would struggle to get out if someone parked at the back and front of us. Now £10 for £24h You can catch the bus into Whitby on the seafront. Elson point also availible. 24/4/25.
stayed here friday of the long BH weekend. busy but everyone respectful and felt safe, water taps and chemical toilet disposal. free toilets do shut in the evening as mentioned by others. right by the beach with great views and walks (and fish and chips). some youths driving past after dark beeping at us all but they got bored of doing that just before midnight. lovely spot, would recommend!
Was very busy but parking up for one night with everything you need on site and fantastic views near to a beach and fish and chip shops can’t complain
No car parking chargers overnight, but no toilets either. Toilets open at 9am and shut at 4pm which is pretty ridiculous. I would happily have paid a car park fee for access to toilets.
Brilliant place. Very good steakhouse next door. Brilliant views and right next to the sea with all the facilities you need for a Campervan trip.
Level carpark with free overnight parking. Water, rubbish and chemical toilet disposal. One we’d definitely recommend and use again.
Nice convenient park up, with plenty of walks and things to do in the local area, I wish there was more places like this. I did manage to get in one of the Motorhome bays but the signage does say if you occupy 2 spaces you need to pay for 2 spaces. Must of been 10 vans there last night out of season, can imagine it’s rammed in summer. Eat and drank local and will be back.
Lovely place to stop overnight, close to the beach and food places. Bit miffed that we couldn’t get water here, the tap has no thread. Really nice walks and scenery though.
Stayed here Saturday into Sunday with about 9 other vans, nice quite night. Parking charges apply Monday to Sunday 08:00 to 18:00 365 days a year & can be paid at the machine using cash or contactless. Alternately you can use ringo app to pay online using your phone. £2.40 for 1 hour, £4.40 for 2 hours, £5.50 for 3 hours, £7.20 all day.
Free to park overnight. If you wheels are in the parking bay you can park in any bay and pay for 1 spot - regardless of overhang into bay at back of you. Cost us £7.50 on Ringo app. Free Elsan point, toilets and water. Really helpful guy on duty at weekend. Great chippy across the road as well as an ice cream parlour.
This is one of our favourite spots. There is plenty of space for our Motorhome. Toilets, water and a place to empty our chemical toilet.
Nice and quiet, handy for the beach and the Italian Gardens. The Ship Inn at the end of the front only 5mins walk.
A very busy place and the car park is full until about 7/8PM. We had no issues and it was a very quiet night. Phone signal is very poor so bare that in mind. slight slope on some areas
We've just spent 2 nights here. Absolutely fantastic parkup. Toilets were open til 9pm. Busy (13 vans last night) but no bother at all. Would 100% stay here again
stayed for 1 night. very limited space for campervans, but plenty of car bays, beautiful seafront with a spectacular view, it all flat on the promenade with chippy's, pubs, ice cream parlours, tramway and a pier with a few arcades, short walk to town but not easy access as very hilly with steps up the cliffs.
Warning!!! Really nice little town with excellent pub near the park up. £7.20 for 24 hours. Toilet drop next to public toilets. We stopped in the overflow car park for 3 nights. Unfortunately on the 3rd night 4 or 5 men dressed in black clothing tried and almost suceeded in stealing our bikes from bike carrier. They dismantled the bike carrier to get them. We woke up and they ran off. Be wary!!
Only 4 bays are for campervan and this is a very popular spot. The car park empties though and we could easily stay in a normal bay. All was quiet. There is an overflow car park which is even quieter. Elsan near to entrance / loos. Right by the beach so lovely to go and sit on a log, eat some fish and chips and watch the waves. Only 7.50. A good spot for an overnight.
Great overnight option! We were there during the week and there were many empty spaces, so we could park overnight with our car and caravan across several parking spaces.Translating
