1a Guggenauerweg, 83088, Kiefersfelden
Been here?
Parking area at the Hödenauer See, with a partly shady setting, lake swimming and access to water-skiing, hiking and mountain-bike routes. The adjoining restaurant has a terrace and serves food, while toilets and showers are available, with recent reports charging 50 cents for 3 minutes of showering. Prices reported recently are 10€ plus 2€ tourist tax per person, payable in cash, and the motorhome section can fill while parking elsewhere is tolerated. The site may be busy until sunset, and comments vary sharply on cleanliness, with some reporting very dirty facilities and no bins.

Duplicate location; the intended place is the motorhome parking area a few meters farther on. This location therefore does not exist and points to the water-ski facility/building.Translating
An inexpensive place for the area with a beautiful view. The train was not very disruptive, but some "regulars" seem to have taken on a policing role while they themselves are busy putting out an awning, several chairs and carpets, and hammering dozens of pegs into the stony ground even when there is no wind. There is only one parking area here (photo 5), not another one as shown on p4n.Translating
The view is beautiful. The showers were clean, at least in the women’s facilities. We ate cake in the restaurant next door. Unfortunately, there is no bin. You can also swim here. Telekom reception is rather poor. The only nuisance was the self-appointed parking police (also campers), who watched exactly how others parked while taking out their own awning (including pegs), carpet, chairs and table. Parking area! Not a campsite! The train passes by frequently, but it was less annoying than the hammering of pegs into the ground.Translating
It serves the purpose of a cheap overnight stay. The place is extremely neglected. There is not even a bin. The toilets and showers are very dirty, and clothes are lying all over the floor. Never again.Translating
Super. It costs €14—€10 for the car and €2 per person—very clean, large area. Shower 50 cents for 3 minutes, also clean. We arrived around 6 p.m.; the motorhome area was full, but the huge car park was not. Standing there was no problem and much more pleasant. Unfortunately, some people ignore the rules and put out awnings, tables and chairs, taking up parking spaces. Very selfish.Translating
We arrived in July at 10 p.m.; the parking area was already quite full, but with smaller campers you can still find a place. At that late hour, you simply put the €10 plus tax in the provided envelopes and drop them in a mailbox. It was very quiet, and the sanitary facilities were clean. For 50 cents you can shower for 3 minutes; toilets are free.Translating
Beautiful place, toilets and showers (showers cost 50 cents), 24/7.Translating
Super motorhome stop, here for the second time. The first time was out of necessity, as we urgently needed a place at night just to stay overnight. This year it was fully planned as a stage destination for our holiday trip. Nice stop, not glamorous but clean toilets and so on; perfectly adequate for taking a break, cooling off in the lake and relaxing. We would plan it again anytime ❤️Translating
Few spaces for motorhomes, but it is also possible to stay in the regular car park. Excellent facilities, shower €0.50/3 minutes with the option to stop the water. Swimming in the lake is great.Translating
Nice here, and fair prices… everything fits together… right?Translating
Perfect stop for a night. 10Euro +2 Euro tourist tax per person. Clean bathroom with showers (50cent). Only cash payment.
Perfect for spending 48 hours here in good weather.Translating
Very beautiful, quiet and safe motorhome stop. Small lake directly next to the stop. Showers and toilets available; they were very clean and everything worked for us. The restaurant/kiosk is delicious for breakfast or dinner, and the whole team is very friendly. The railway line is very close and audible, but it did not bother us at all. The biggest nuisance is the many dogs!!!!!!!Translating
A really great place for the night.Translating
Very nice self-contained motorhome stop, directly beside a lake with good food and drink facilities.Translating
We arrived late and had a quiet, pleasant night here. Very beautiful views around the site. We did not use the sanitary facilities. €10 plus €2 tourist tax per person.Translating
Pay close attention when settling the bill. The guy from the shop, where the checkout is, charged us €24. We had to pay €10 per person plus tourist tax. The sanitary facilities were okay, but there was no soap or toilet paper. We also could not find any bins, only the small one in the toilet. Anyway, the place is otherwise okay for one night while passing through.Translating
Great that places like this still exist, thanks! The shower (50 cents/3 minutes) and toilet are perfectly fine and quite new, plus there is a great view, all for €10—perfectly reasonable. Unfortunately, the bar directly by the lake only opens from May 1; we would have liked to try it (burgers, etc.).Translating
Nice, uncomplicated place for passing through. Very clean showers and toilets. We will gladly come again.Translating
Great, uncomplicated place. We will come back. Ideal with a dog.Translating
Ideal for a relaxing, quiet night while passing through. The nearby railway line is barely audible. Beautiful panorama. Very modern and well-maintained sanitary facilities. Excellent for €10.Translating
Stayed here for one night while passing through; €10 just for the opportunity to officially park and stay overnight is fine. The sanitary facilities are unfortunately closed in February, and there is no way to dispose of rubbish. That did not bother us, as we have everything on board. The train did not disturb us at night either.
The toilet and shower were locked. We chose this place because of the sanitary facilities, so it was especially frustrating that they were locked. No information about opening hours!
We stopped here on the way to the Hochfilzen biathlon—simply brilliant, the place is great for 1–2 nights! Thanks to the operator! Regards.
We spent a quiet night here. The train can be heard, but unfortunately so can our parking heater, so that was not a problem. The sanitary rooms are clean, well lit and well maintained. There are no filling or disposal facilities here, but the nearest address for them is provided. The pitches are level.
Of course, not everything is pleasant to look at, but the skip container was the biggest eyesore; it will surely be collected soon because it is full. For us, €10 was okay, especially since clean toilets and showers were provided. Trains pass close to the site, but they did not bother us. In summary, it is not a luxury oasis, but it is perfect for one or two nights while passing through.
Shabby, muddy and generally run-down place! Old caravan, unregistered cars, rubbish container, construction debris. A few motorhomes parked however they wanted. The train rumbles directly past the site—we drove on immediately!
Nice place for one night. Unfortunately, the toilet flushes did not work, and there were many large puddles, making the path to the toilet an adventure, especially at night.
Great facility. Prices as already described. Showers almost new and working. We spent one night here on our way to Austria and Italy. There is a snack vending machine.
Very okay for one night. The operators of the water-ski facility, including the bar/restaurant (closes at 7 p.m.), were very friendly. The train could be heard, but it was not disturbing.
We stopped for one night on the way south. There was a small playground, and the people at the water-ski facility are extremely nice. There is a lot of space. The sanitary facilities are new and well maintained. We will certainly stop here again.
