There is a no-camping sign.
Please note that as of Wednesday, June 25, this place is unfortunately no longer available. We were there when the municipal employee planted a sign saying “camping prohibited” right in front of us.
Gray water can be discharged onto the ground for free in the parking area.
Lots of mud and overrun with horseflies; we did not stay!
It had rained the previous day. The ground was soft. We got our motorhome stuck!
Above the large parking area, very quiet and private, much more secluded than down below among the many other motorhomes. Also much farther from the road.
Such a shame that the restaurant and park are closed. We were here in 2020, and it was very nice, with a very friendly operator.
More appealing than the roadside parking area... Go up past the museum entrance, then turn left. Quiet, fairly level spot, with enough room to turn around even for larger campers. Dumping and water services are available on the museum parking area farther down when leaving.
Dumping and water services are still closed.
