Been here?
A roadside lay-by near Braco, close to Roman Fort ruins, with two bins and a riverside trail leading to an old mill. The area is not level and traffic noise can be noticeable, although the road becomes quieter after midnight until about 6am. Sheep may sometimes be in the fields along the trail.

Agreed with the previous post... okay for a late one-night stay. Basically, it's a lay-by and not level. There is traffic noise, but what do you expect? It is right next to the road. After midnight until about 6 a.m. it is quiet, then the noise starts again. There are bins. A little riverside walk/path, a Roman fort and, of course, the little village of Braco. Good for a one-night stay.Translating
Okay for a late overnight stop. We were heading north and driving late into the night. We stopped here late and left early in the morning. It serves its purpose. The road isn't too bad and, after midnight, most of the car noise stopped. The bins were useful.Translating
Loved this place, a headland with rivers on both sides, one of them very fast-flowing. There is a hydroelectric power station on one side and a busy railway on the other, but there were no noise problems at night. Nice walk, although the road ends at someone’s property. Cute sheep. :)Translating
