A level roadside parking area beside a loch, with beautiful views and a quiet, isolated feel at night. Traffic is noticeable but usually quietens after sunset and resumes between 7 and 8 in the morning. There is an internet connection and a public toilet at the paid parking area farther up the road. No bin is provided, and midges are common.

We stayed here for a night and went for a walk across the Knockan Crag. There was some traffic but it went quiet as the sun went down and started again inbetween 7 and 8 in the morning. We had an internet connection, would recommend :) there is even a public toilet if you walk up to the paid parkingspace where the knockan crag walk starts
Roadside parking; we did not stay overnight because it was noisy and full of cannibal midges.
Level place, some road noise, but the night was very quiet. No trash bin. Please take your rubbish with you. (Today I collected some karma points and many paper tissues...) Wonderful view, right by the water.
Beautiful view, beside the road but fairly quiet (a few cars during the night), lots of midges. A good alternative to the nature-reserve parking a few meters farther on.
Stayed the night. Parking area is level, big enough for a few vans and set back from the road. Road is quiet at night. Good 4G on EE. No paths to walk the dog though.
There were a few campers at the main Knockan park, so we wanted a quiet spot to ourselves. This was perfect. Next to the main road but very quiet thru the night. Beautiful views to wake up to!
