Allee St.Pierre Les Nemours, 53557, Bad Hönningen
Been here?
A large campsite with 220 motorhome spaces, some directly beside the Rhine, next to the Kristal Rheinpark-Therme. It offers restaurants, a boat-trip dock, a playground, dog showers and free dog-waste bags. River-row pitches have the best views, while the rear grassy area is quieter; the site can otherwise feel chaotic. Toilets, showers and washing cost extra, and the clean but dated sanitary facilities need renovation.

Some sanitary facilities need renovation. Excellent view, very friendly staff. The food at the lodge is good.Translating
An ok place with nice staff, but NOT worth the price. We paid €40.50 for 2 adults and 2 dogs and got a II-row river spot. The area is huge and chaotic and you barely see the river unless you're in the I-row. The back grassy area is quieter. Showers, toilets, and washing cost extra. The “dog shower” was just a small metal box with cold water, our dog was scared. We left after 1 night instead of 2.
We have stayed there twice while passing through, each time for only one night. The sanitary facilities deserve only a 3 out of 5; everything else is excellent.Translating
We stayed two nights in the front row. The view is really beautiful. We did not use the shower or toilet. In terms of price, nearly €40 per night is quite steep. It is clean, but our pitch was muddy, narrow, and long. Fresh bread rolls, cakes, and more are available in the morning, as well as a vending shop. The staff are very friendly.Translating
We came here spontaneously. Booking worked without any problems. The pitches are large. We stayed in the front row, with a wonderful view of the Rhine. The sanitary facilities were clean but should be renovated. One criticism is the electricity: when too many people draw power, the refrigerator in the motorhome starts flashing. A visit to the thermal baths is recommended.Translating
Last-minute online booking works perfectly! We stayed directly in the second row with a view of the Rhine. Everyone was very nice, and we received treats as a welcome gift. The Croatian restaurant at the site was very good, although a little overwhelmed—which did not bother us. The sanitary facilities urgently need modernization, although they were always clean.Translating
Booked last minute online as told couldn’t book over phone but accepted us when we just turned up anyway. We had great pitch right in the banks of the Rhine. Bit old in places, washblocks adequate but fine for 1 night. We slept well and enjoyed our last evening on trip with spectacular views across the river. Very cheap fuel nearby.
We stayed here for three days. It is a very well-maintained site with sufficiently large pitches. Excellent service and disposal facilities, water connection at every pitch, and a very friendly welcome. We did not use the sanitary facilities because we have everything on board. The town itself does not offer much.Translating
We stayed here for three nights on a pitch directly by the water. Beautiful view and peace and quiet. Everything was perfect for us, and we can recommend the place without hesitation. A good starting point for lovely bike rides.Translating
Wonderful view of the Rhine, friendly reception, clean sanitary facilities—in short, everything was just right. The thermal-bath restaurant is highly recommended during or after your visit; it offers excellent value for money.Translating
The location is beautiful if you choose the most expensive pitch by the water. However, the pitches are quite close together. Further back there are cheaper pitches, but you do not get a nice view of the Rhine. There is not much at the campsite. We did not see any playground equipment or anything similar. The sanitary facilities are okay, but there are not many for a campsite of this size. The toilet paper is very rough.Translating
The positive point first: if you are in the front row directly on the Rhine, it is really beautiful. The welcome was also very friendly. The restaurant on site is not bad. For the price—we knew it beforehand—we had at least hoped for decent sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, that was not the case, and showers also cost extra. What a shame; we had expected more.Translating
Beautiful site directly on the Rhine. The sanitary facilities are old but very clean.Translating
Great location, clean and attractively designed site. The welcome was somewhat curt this time, but otherwise friendly.Translating
Beautiful campsite. This was our second time here. One star deducted for the sanitary facilities, which need modernization. There are also too few toilets. When the site is fuller, there are longer waits during the day.Translating
Friendly welcome and quick handling of the inquiry. Some sanitary facilities are showing their age, but they are clean. Good value for money. Recommended, and a good place for sauna visitors because the thermal baths are only a short walk away. We spent two nights there.Translating
Very nicely located site. Everything you need is available.Translating
Beautiful pitch beside the Rhine, very clean and suitable for children. Note that the swimming pool is not part of the campsite and the mini-golf course is closed. Feel free to ask reception whether an event is planned: we had very loud music from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., which spoiled our stay.Translating
August 11: Good access and a friendly welcome. We were in the second row with a view of the Rhine; it was very quiet, but somewhat sloped even with leveling chocks. The showers can be used cold without inserting money. The deduction is because a campsite this large should be able to renovate the shower rooms more quickly. However, they were cleaned frequently and very thoroughly, and everything was very clean.Translating
The site itself is orderly, and they are trying to move away from its character as a campsite for permanent residents. The view of the Rhine and Bad Breisig opposite is wonderful, and the noise from passing ships is barely disturbing. The location directly beside the Kristall thermal baths is also advantageous. Bad Hönningen, however, is a disgrace: almost everything is closed and the town feels rather moribund.Translating
Beautiful location and great pitches. The Croatian restaurant at the campsite was awesome. The breakfast service was also good.Translating
We were lucky and spontaneously managed to stay for three nights with our camper directly in the front row on the Rhine. A beautiful place to watch the passing ships and simply take each day as it comes. The town is within walking distance, and the thermal baths right beside the site are definitely worth a visit.Translating
price for tent camping was affordable. the staff were very friendly and accommodating. facilities were good and the camping is right on the river. would recommend.
€117.60 for three nights, two people, and one dog, including electricity and a pitch directly on the Rhine. The sanitary outbuilding is somewhat dated but clean, as is the washing-up area. Overall, we had a wonderful pitch. The thermal baths offered a €2 discount per person.
