6 Camino Cala Reona, 30370, Cartagena
Been here?
A spacious gravel parking area with direct beach access, nearby coastal hiking and a beach bar. It is often quiet at night and suits a stay of one or two nights, although it can become crowded with campers and cars. Some spaces are sloped, and the entrance has a slight gravel incline. The area can be very windy, including blowing sand.

Large car park, little used in the evening. Pretty cove nearby with a beach bar. Perfect for one or two nights.
Superb view and trailhead… peaceful night with the sound of the waves!! Five vans at this time of year… beach bar that closes in the evening… the site was not covered in rubbish when we visited…
Beautiful place. The route to Cadaqués starts from here—do not miss it—about 2.5 hours there and back. It is worth it. Quiet place, with some sloping areas. I travel with a small van. Unfortunately, the levante wind turns it into a sandstorm; otherwise I would have enjoyed it more.
This car park is full of people camping. It is more like a commune. There was not a single space. Across the street there is another huge car park, but we decided to stay here. We had no problems.
Slight gravel slope at the entrance to the car park. Apart from that, ideal. At this time of year it is not so full and the area is enjoyable.
Beautiful hiking trips, but someone is constantly arriving and leaving.
Ideal for parking near the beach and hiking. Very rough dirt surface. Only rubbish bins are available.
There is always a space. There is a large rubbish bin. It is very windy. Unfortunately, it is noisy at night because of other selfish people.
That parking was full of motorhomes and cars...we parked across the street in a huge gravel area. A lot of space there. But I am not sure you are allowed to park there. It was ok we only stayed one night. Might get busy in weekends. Trash bins very close by. Relatively quiet at night.
Wonderful place amid beautiful nature! Perfect for listening to the waves and simply switching off. Please treat this special place with care so it stays this way. A big thank-you to Rob for cleaning up—the beach is a dream when everyone respects nature and helps out!
It is extremely sad to witness what has happened to this place. I have grown up in Cabo de Palos, been going to this beach almost every day of my life. There always used to be a camper or two for a few nights from time to time. It has now become a permanent campsite for big RVs that come all over europe to stay here all winter. This is disrespectful, harmful and just not okay..
Beautiful place, a shame that, as in almost every place, people come to ruin and mistreat it, taking over by parking however they want, staying there to live with ten solar panels on the beach side and washing kitchen items in the beach water. Does nobody realize that because of these people we all end up paying and are forbidden from staying everywhere?
It has become a beautiful paradise ❤️ Very beautiful view and wonderful nature! Together with fellow campers, we cleaned up all the rubbish in no time, as it should be! Respect nature! If all campers took their rubbish away while travelling and picked up some from the ground, everything would soon be clean again! This beautiful place is a wonderful example of that! Instead of grumbling, roll up your sleeves! Love and peace! ✌️
Parking directly by the sea was already full and the entrance has deep potholes. On the other side there is a huge open area where I stayed peacefully on New Year's Eve. Very tidy and clean; please keep it that way! From here you can walk straight to the beach. We took an incredibly beautiful walk over the mountain. Internet is indeed very poor. But look around and marvel! These are the gems. Fortunately, no huge “Concordes”!
Very bad, uneven access road and very poor internet reception. Impossible to work.
Only suitable for motorhomes with a reasonable approach angle. CAMPING BEHAVIOUR is prohibited under the new national law: DGT PROT 2023/14. Also observe the coastal protection law. Anyone violating the laws will permanently and completely destroy free overnight parking.
At first we ruled out this spot because of the comments. Then we dared to come, and the truth is that we were delighted. Super quiet, clean place with a great atmosphere. You can tell that many people come here to spend the night. There are also beautiful routes leading into Calblanque.
Great place to stay, right by the sea! From here we walked a beautiful route to Punta Negra.
Very beautiful view, plus falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Quite busy, but there is plenty of space. The water access was not working during our stay.
It is a good place, close to the beach, but we were massacred by mosquitoes; there were many fishermen who stayed all night. Starting point for several hiking routes, so people pass through continuously early in the morning.
Wonderful place practically on the sea. Excellent for beautiful walks. Easy to reach. Lots of mosquitoes at night. The car park fountain was not working. Unfortunately dirty because of visitors, but rubbish containers are right at the entrance to the car park.
We spent two nights facing the sea in this small, very peaceful cove. At this time of year the bar and toilets were closed. Starting point for beautiful hikes, unfortunately with an enormous number of mosquitoes; we had to turn back at the salt pans.
Beautiful cove, with easy routes and good views. I was struck by how little respect people show for it, with behaviour that does not benefit us. Thank you, Cala Reona. Let’s take care of this beautiful environment.
The place is spectacular, but there is quite a lot of rubbish…
Not level, right by the cove, with a beach bar, foot-washing station and daytime toilets. Ideal for starting hiking routes toward the park, but I have never spent the night somewhere where people showed so little respect for the surroundings. Camping is an understatement: a picnic for 30 people, tables, chairs, caravans with everything outside taking up lots of space, dirt… Over time they will probably ban overnight stays.
Lots of spaces, although the car park is not level. It was full on the evening of Ferragosto! There is a chemical toilet, but no showers, only foot-washing facilities. There is a kiosk. Fairly windy!
Uneven car park in several places, but we eventually levelled up without chocks. There is a chemical toilet that is cleaned in the morning, although it inevitably gets quite dirty afterward. No shower. Foot-washing station available. The sea is not very clean. Quiet at night. Windy even in August. Decent place for swimming and spending the night in a van.
The parking is on the beach 1 is very uneven, 1 more level .Friday night was very noisy with people from cars , Car park dirty with rubbish in many places. Great walks and the beach is very nice but was windy when we was there. Lots of wasps especially around the toilets and shower. Very bad phone signal But no problem for campers there was around 25 of us and police passed .
We spent two peaceful nights in terms of space and zero noise. Many people come to spend the night and everyone is friendly. There is also a beach bar in the same cove with a good atmosphere. The bathroom facilities are a little dirty, but the surroundings are clean and litter-free, with no flies. We recommend it 100%.
Very good place to sleep, but the bathroom is quite bad, smells unpleasant and the water is very murky. There is a beach bar, a little expensive, with a good atmosphere, and you sleep right beside the sea.
Everything was perfect and there were no problems. Camper right on the beach. If it had a shower I would give it five stars, because the beach is great and the hiking trails are impressive.
Very cute little parking on the beach front. Enough space for 6 meter van but some areas were uneven. There are a few hike areas around and bins. However, there is no service and it is a relatively small beach that can become crowded in the mornings/afternoons naturally. Spent 1 night there and felt safe.
We spent a very good, peaceful night there. There is a small car park where you can quickly become stuck, but with a sea view. Or a huge car park next to it without a view but with more space. The only drawback is that there is absolutely no phone signal.
