Been here?
Quiet motorhome area managed by the river port, popular for visiting Metz. €12 per night includes electricity and waste disposal; water supply is limited and unreliable. Beautiful cycling path along the Moselle; reach Metz centre easily by bus, bike, or electric ferry. Free parking on Mondays offers no services.

Free on Mondays, but no water or electricity. Quiet place.
Is water really available? This evening, neither of the two taps has water.
Very well-located pitch for visiting Metz, in a quiet area. You can reach the city centre by bus, bicycle or river shuttle, which is very pleasant. The person responsible for the site is attentive. I recommend it for visiting Metz, which is truly worth the detour.
Good place for cycling along the Moselle. Unfortunately, the caretaker is rather impatient. We had barely got out before he immediately wanted payment, without giving us a chance to look around. At 10:15 p.m. he knocked and asked whether we were going to turn off the outside light above the door. Especially unpleasant was the way he did it. He could use a customer-service course.
I have rarely spent such a quiet night. We think €12 including electricity and rubbish disposal is fair. Water would cost an extra €3, but we did not need it. We would choose this place again :-)
We were able to stay here for one night with electricity. A lady came to collect payment and switch on the electricity: €12 per night. There is a nice playground nearby and the supermarket is about 10 minutes away. Nothing special, but perfectly adequate for one night.
Quiet, clean and safe place to spend the night. Electricity available.
The person responsible for the area no longer lives on site. The €12 rate with electricity and water is mandatory, but it is impossible to get water. Cassette disposal is available but without rinsing, and filling with fresh water is also impossible. Expensive and, above all, completely disorganized. I used to come often, but I will go elsewhere; the services are no longer available.
Very quiet place near the river. Friendly lady popped over about 5 minutes after I arrived. €12, cash only, for the night and water (only available 4-7pm) and electricity. Lovely walk along the river. I’d guess shops are 15+ minutes walk away.
I still like the place very much on my second visit. The cycle and footpath along the Moselle is great. Currently, as of 16 April 2026, water is available only between 4 and 8 p.m.
Good place for visiting Metz. Water and electricity can be arranged with the friendly lady. A lovely trip to Metz by ferry, but check the timetable.
Very, very friendly lady who welcomed us. €12 per day with electricity and water. What more could you want? Highly recommended. Definitely take the electric passenger boat to Metz for €1.75 (same price as the bus). A great experience.
Simple parking area with waste disposal. Fine for one night. And quiet! The water did not work, possibly only available at certain times.
Area closed from December 1, 2025, to April 1, 2026.
Lovely little aire with all services. €12 per night including 16A hookup and water facilities. You need to call for facilities, number is on a sign. Use facilities in the evening as we didn't get an answer in the morning. River taxi not operating over winter but a lovely 75 minute river walk into Metz, a really nice city. Go to the indoor market and the restaurants opposite.
Quiet place, very welcoming. You just need to call and the lady comes to connect the electricity. Perfect for one night.
It’s a perfectly adequate site, but not secured and no discount if you don’t need electricity or services so making it a little expensive just to park up. However, a 10 minute walk to the bus stop and a short bus trip into Metz makes it a good location. We had a very peaceful night without any problems.
Warning: enter 64 rue de l'Etang instead, otherwise the GPS may take you to a dead end along the river. Thanks to the Metz Yacht Club for this very comfortable and quiet spot. Many thanks also to the very kind lady who manages this area. We will gladly return!
Perfectly adequate flat tarmac carpark, run by Metz Yacht club. The deal is, you call the phone number and someone pops out from behind the hedge (the yacht club?) takes money, gives you a receipt, turns on water etc. You don't need a long speech, just "J'ai arrivé à votre camping" and they come. Quiet night, only 2 vans here so loads of space. Reasonably well signposted from the main road.
Quiet and safe. 4 other campers. Arrived late, texted the phone number on the electricity box asking to pay the €12/night fee but didn’t hear back. Water taps didn’t work (maybe the owner would have explained on the phone).
Very convenient spot right next to a cycle path leading to central Metz in 20 minutes. It is a parking area isolated from noise, with all services, although they are locked to prevent freeloaders; ask the kind manager by phone to open them.
Although the site was already closed because of a public holiday, we were allowed to use the service station. Thanks! (€3 to fill drinking water, empty grey water and empty the toilet.)
Unfortunately, only French is possible. It took a long time for someone to come and collect payment.
Excellent campervan stopover area with all services for €12. Quiet and peaceful place for a good night's rest. The manager is a great person and is always present on site. I highly recommend it. The city of Metz is nearby.
The person at reception, reachable by phone, is welcoming. Expensive: €12. At this price, we could at least have access to showers and toilets. You are not allowed to enter the port; you have to call to get water, which is turned off—annoying. All this means I can only give 3 stars. Far too expensive. You can find secure areas with all services much cheaper, for example Toul, 5 minutes from the city center (€7).
Very warm welcome. Sufficient facilities. Quiet location 4 km from Metz by bicycle.
We had 2 peaceful nights. Only 4 km by bicycle to the center along the Moselle. 1 km to a supermarket with a bakery that is also open on Sundays.
