7 Avenida Conde de Guadalhorce, 33490, Avilés
Been here?
Free daytime parking beside the Niemeyer Center and commercial port, suitable for visiting Avilés. The center is about 10-15 minutes on foot, and a footbridge provides access to the historic area. Spaces are not very wide, and larger motorhomes may overhang. Overnight stays are not permitted because the access closes at 24:00.

Very quiet parking area, located about 10 minutes on foot from the center. A good option for visiting the area during the day. Keep in mind that parking is only permitted during daytime hours, as access closes at midnight.
Free parking, ideal for visiting the Centro Niemeyer and the historic center. Recommended: the guided tour of the Centro Niemeyer with the excellent guide Paloma, and the historic center, whose harmonious combination of different architectural styles is well worth the visit.
Very interesting to visit. Visiting the expo rooms costs 4 euros per exposition and is free after 18h (especially the photographic expo that runs until may 2026 is good) Highly recommend the guided tour, very interesting and you get to see the 2 expo buildings including backstage areas. Tours only in Spanish I think, at 12h30 and 17h00 from Wednesday till Sunday.
As parking for visiting the center, it is very good (if you have a large motorhome, you will have to go beyond the parking limit). Only 10–15 minutes from the center on foot. Level. The access looks difficult but is no problem. Overnight stays are not permitted.
Perfect parking area for visiting the city. We parked our 7 m van there. The bridge just around the corner leads very quickly to the center, about 15 minutes.
Impeccable free parking for visiting the city; the central square is 10 minutes away on foot. No problem parking a 6 m motorhome. On September 8, this parking area was only half full.
Free parking, ideal for visiting the city. To reach the center, walk between the buildings of the Centro Niemeyer, which are worth seeing. A footbridge allows you to reach the old town in 5 minutes.
Free parking for leaving the motorhome, but the spaces are not very wide. They are long enough, even though ours is 7 meters. The parking area closes at midnight; overnight stays are not permitted. If you see a payment sign on entry, it does not apply to this area, only to those parking in the covered car park.
Parking for cars and campers. Good location for visiting the center on foot.
It seems to be the best free option for visiting Avilés, only 10 minutes on foot from the town hall square. Cross the river and go up one street. Access is very easy and high enough for everyone. The spaces may be designed for cars, but I have seen motorhomes there without problems.
