Been here?
This is a secluded nature spot in the woods beside a large river, with the sound of flowing water. Up to 3 campers can fit, although only one place is near the water and the area can feel crowded. The track is nearly level, but rain can create large puddles and muddy conditions.

Nice spot, unfortunately we were not alone and the best place was already taken. Later another motorhome arrived. It became full, but apparently three campers can fit. Beautifully located by a little river whose gentle sound you can hear in the background. The surface is almost level. You can reach the river from the parking area by crossing many large stones to paddle your feet.
Beautiful place in the forest, by a large river. I arrived, but there were already three campervans, so I turned around. Suddenly those people stopped me because they were leaving. What luck—the place was free. The municipality suggests there are two motorhome spaces. What a strange review below; this person wants the spaces all to themselves. If someone takes their place first, they can be vilified. The place is okay.
Great place in nature; too bad not everyone has the same idea of sharing. Three vans took over the site, with no access to the river. Well done, guys.
Wonderful place. We stayed here for two nights. Quite quiet, with only the sounds of nature—birds and the rumble of the river. We love it. Spotlessly clean.
Large puddles in rainy weather. Only one motorhome has a reasonably level place. Very quiet and secluded.
By the river, next to a small waterfall. Highly recommended. This place has everything you are looking for: shelter, water, swimming, a waterfall, and a good place to park your camper. It has been raining for days, but it is not very muddy. The place is also very clean. It looked as if nobody had been there for months. The internet is strong, but you do not need it here. Today is June 4, 2026.
Very secluded, wonderfully quiet for the night, by the water. Quite muddy on rainy days. Space for three vans, but only one can park near the water.
Beautiful place by the river for about two cars; there is no sun very early. Internet reception is very weak!
Very beautiful place. Please keep the access to the water clear and do not leave any land mines in the forest.
Still a beautiful place with access to the stream. The next morning we drove from there to Heddal Stave Church.
A very beautiful place for wild camping. It is very peaceful here, surrounded by greenery and secluded beside a pleasant flowing river, while the village houses are not far away. There is a waste container at the start of the road leading there. Definitely a beautiful place to visit.
Very beautiful, quiet place that feels like pure nature. We initially stood there alone after arriving in the late afternoon, but then a van and a motorhome arrived; the motorhome later left again. Even with two vans there is enough space, but the place seems very popular, as there is a lot of rubbish lying around, especially waste left behind. Please keep it clean! Then the place would have even more charm.
Magical and quiet spot by the river. Access via 400m of gravel road without major bumps. Space enough for 3 vehicles comfortably. Lots of mosquitos end of June.
Nice spot, quiet night, easy access for our van.
