Apart from no overnight parking, a great shaded car park for bouldering at the Bois Rond area. A couple of dubious people were around, so be careful if you are alone.
Attention! Daytime parking only!
now no overnight parking, there is now a sign at the entrance prohibiting parking between 22:00 and 6:00
So-so. The highway noise is loud, and there were 11 vehicles sleeping here, but it was quiet at night.
Great parking area where overnight stays are still allowed, which is rare in the Forest of Fontainebleau. Unfortunately, it has become a victim of its own success. It is often filled with vanlife climbers who do not hesitate to relieve themselves in the forest and do not even hide their toilet paper, and, with no bins, leave their waste on site. Sad and shameful.
Quiet and clean, within walking distance of the boulders.
Perfect for spending a quiet night in the middle of the forest! Keep the place clean and quiet!
Good flat parking right near a climbing spot, far away from the main road enough to be quiet. Lots of other campers here, and a really clean site.
Nothing, just parking, with no bins either, so please take your own waste with you. We had a wonderfully peaceful afternoon, night, and morning in the middle of the forest. One minute’s drive from the parking area to the climbing site. Excellent. The police only stopped by to check cleanliness and fire safety during this dry period.
The best place in the area. You can hear the highway very slightly, and the road beside it is not very busy. The gendarmerie came by and confirmed that we could put out a table and awning without any problem.
We have had no problems here. Quiet and peaceful place. It feels like everyone living in a vehicle here respects the place.
Arrived in the middle of august (mid-août holiday week in France) and there were plenty of spots available. Other camper vans were there and felt overall very safe. If you are into bouldering it’s really close to the climbing area. quiet and surrounded by trees, was able to put out tables and chairs. Only downside there aren’t any toilets near by, only on the motorway which isn’t accessible.
