Rue de la Fontaine Grande, 19110, Bort-les-Orgues
Been here?
Free parking with 6 spaces in Font Grande car park, overnight 7pm–9am. Access is difficult via narrow winding road (30m); unsuitable for vehicles over 7m. The water tap has no threading and recent reports indicate it has been removed. Greywater dumping is available but cassette facilities are unreliable. The site is quiet beside the river near the city center.

One star, really because there is no “zero”… just a daytime car park. Very difficult access with narrow streets and traffic. What a shame not to welcome us better when there is the leather museum and the dam to visit, which fortunately have car parks for parking! Well, never mind—the restaurant tonight will be elsewhere!
We slept here last night; quiet place beside the river. Next to it there is a small shaded area with a picnic table. There is a tap without a thread. Thanks to the municipality.
I gave it 3 stars because we came to empty the black and grey water and fill up with water. We emptied the grey water, but did not dare empty the toilet cassette because it was so clean—perhaps the previous person had left everything spotless. As for the water, since there is only one tap, we did not take any to avoid possible contamination. Thanks anyway.
Only good for the services. Beware, the water tap has no thread. Bring a hose with a clamp.
Everything works as of today. You need to be well equipped for the water tap. It deserves to exist; that is not the case everywhere. There is a small park right next to it for shade and coolness, with the river below. Thanks to the municipality. Too bad about the abandoned caravan that spoils the place a little.
You can only empty tanks. There is no possibility of filling up. What a shame…
Practical area because it is free, but no services except grey-water disposal. To access the area, follow the motorhome-area sign after the street indicated by Waze, which is too narrow.
Service area with only emptying facilities; no tap when I arrived. Close to the centre and all shops. No problem with a 6.40 m vehicle. Six spaces, rubbish and glass containers nearby, several very nice restaurants and bars, and a very pretty small town.
as an Aire, it's an embarrassment as a carpark its mediocre, it should be removed from p4n
Beware, very difficult access for a 7.50 m motorhome. We had great difficulty getting in, and the spaces are not great, with an old caravan and a poorly parked motorhome next to the bottle containers. I do not recommend it.
Nothing special. Beautiful view of the water. Possibility of emptying grey water and toilet cassettes. However, there is no water, which is especially inconvenient for cleaning the cassette.
Visited on 28 December; the tap had been removed. Only the possibility of emptying wastewater and sleeping on site.
Perfect spot, suitable for a motorhome with a trailer or a large motorhome. Five minutes on foot from the centre. Drinking-water point, grey-water disposal, little traffic. Ideal for a stay and overnight stop.
Car park very close to the centre. Quiet place. We were able to park for several days and visit the region. There is a market on Saturday morning with very good products. Thank you.
Works perfectly. Use your ingenuity to fill your fresh-water tank! Paved, sloping ground. We accessed the area with a 7.20 m vehicle.
Service area with motorhome spaces. Bins for all waste types, wastewater disposal and non-potable water from a push-button tap. Pleasant location with a grassy area and picnic table.
Pleasant, free area beside the river. Thanks to the municipality.
Pleasant and quiet area by the water. Beautiful view of the Orgues. Free services. Thanks to the municipality for welcoming us.
Service area, but with minimal services. No thread on the tap, so filling the water tank is impossible. Only grey-water and toilet disposal. The village centre is a five-minute walk away. Excellent butcher's shop on the pedestrian street.
The place is great. At first we only found a space opposite in the car park, but a motorhome left and we were able to join the others. Lucky, otherwise we would have had to leave the space at 7:00. The tap is extremely slow, but we have time. Otherwise, five minutes into town, and a hike to the Orgues is easily possible.
Area located in the town centre, beside the Dordogne. Slightly sloping car park, bins nearby. Thanks to the municipality.
Car park with completely free services, available to motorhomes at night—rare! Thanks to the municipality! Very good, but beware: push-button tap without a thread, as shown in the photo.
Difficulty getting water: tap not suitable.
Only useful for emptying grey water and the toilet cassette. Impossible to fill the water tank; there is only a push button. Glass, recycling and rubbish containers, plus a shaded picnic table, are next to it.
Beautiful spot beside the Dordogne, with a shaded area containing benches and tables. The site is very peaceful. The service point works properly, with a tap and disposal area. Ideally located for visiting the town and surroundings, by bicycle for example. The town and its centre are magnificent.
Beautiful, sloping and clearly marked parking spot. We did not need the services. Quiet night; I recommend it.
The service area does not work; the taps are missing. Move on.
No longer any access to water; see photo. Quiet spot beside the river.
Fine for emptying, but there is no longer any way to fill up with water.
I do not understand Bertrand_p4n's description. Access is from the town's southern entrance via streets at least 5 m wide, with no bends or speed bumps. Access is very easy with my 7.5 m motorhome. The part near the river is reserved for motorhomes; the ground is slightly sloping, with grey-water disposal, drinking water and a view of the river.
Beautiful view of the Orgues along the Dordogne. Water tap with a push button and no thread. Waste-sorting bins available, and the place is clean.
Practical for visiting the town, with free services.
