A roadside picnic layby overlooking Carlingford Lough, with plenty of room for long campers and attractive sea views. There are no services, although the Marina bar and restaurant is nearby and the town is 10-25mins away on foot. Traffic can be noisy while the road is busy, but it becomes quiet after traffic stops.

We walked past this area this evening and three MHs were there- two very large. All looked comfortably parked and well in from the road. No services as others say but Marina bar close by with restaurant (food available until 5 or 6pm and not on Tue or Wed). Town is walking distance- 10-25mins
Fairly good layby. Once traffic stops it’s very quiet. Nice sea views. Short walk into town. Felt safe and had a good nights sleep.
Too close to the road for my liking. Maybe ok for a short day stop but there are much better spots in the area.
but far out of town
lay by over looking carlingford lough. plenty of room for long campers. only 5 to 10 min walk from shops and pubs. was 3 vans there the night I stayed
Beautiful view of Carlingford Lough & within walking distance of Centra & Pubs. Immediately off the main road and can be busy during peak season. I'm here in Jan 2023 & it's quite noisy with passing traffic. Not a bad stop over & my camper is set up for off-grid, so it suits a one-night stopover. Picnic benches are niche and it's clean with a recycling ♻️ area in the vicinity.
Close to the road, so noisy. Glass recycling bins available. May be suitable for one night.
