Been here?
This small 200 m2 car park near Argentière is for daytime use only; overnight parking is prohibited from 10pm to 8am. It suits small vehicles, cars, and vans, with picnic tables and basic public toilets. The town centre, shops, laundromat, bakery, restaurants, and railway station are nearby, while the road and river can be audible.

Useless, thanks to the shopkeepers.
Beautiful parking area for daytime use; it is checked in the morning to see whether anyone stayed overnight.
Quiet spot and easy access to the town
It has recently become forbidden to sleep here. I arrived at night in the rain and did not see the new sign, so the police woke me at 7:30 a.m. and issued a ticket.
Overnight camping here is now forbidden thanks to people acting like it's a campsite not a carpark. Police moving people on today and handing out leaflets saying you'll get fined. Great as a day parking spot. Free toilet. Shops, laundromat and bakery nearby. Just down the road you can empty your toilet, grey water and fill up water for free.
Convenient place slightly set back from the road for spending the night and reaching Chamonix in the morning. No services apart from toilets. The river is fairly noisy but does not prevent sleep, and the gravel is quite dirty. A few restaurants and a U Market are 100 meters away. Good bakery right next door for morning croissants, although the coffee is not great. I will probably return.
We spent a pleasant night here. Close to the center of Argentière and the train station for traveling to Chamonix. Clean toilets.
No services, just a toilet, but a very nice green area next to it. Super convenient to the centre of Argentiere. Water fountain at a walking distance (main square of Argentiere). Next to the road but this did not bother us.
There are no services, but it is a great spot with wonderful snow-capped mountain scenery around. Good spot to explore Argentiere and Chamonix.
Just some information about the toilets: I came by in mid-June and they were there (the small wooden cabin shown in the photos), then passed by the same place yesterday and there were no toilets. So toilets may be available, but don't rely too much on them.
The parking area is level with a good view of Mont Blanc. The bakery makes the difference :-) The night was not very quiet, but it was OK.
Simply brilliant, great view, toilet available, and a delicious bakery just around the corner.
Very quiet despite being close to the road. Views of two glaciers. The spaces are nicely level.
