Point of Ness Campsite (Ness Caravan Site)

Site with wonderful views of the sea, harbor, passing fishing boats, and ferries. The sanitary facilities are very good. You can walk directly along the shore, but there is no sandy beach. It is only a short walk into town, with a supermarket and pubs.

Good campsite; you can reserve your pitch online and arrive whenever you want. The pitches are slightly sloping, but nothing serious. There is a room with a microwave and two washing machines. The showers and toilets are very good.

It is possible to use only the service facilities, which is a problem if you are traveling through northern Scotland.

Good for one night after arriving by ferry. Clean sanitary facilities and nice pitches directly by the water. Good for watching the ships.

Wonderful camp site with amazing views across the harbour. We stayed two nights and used it as a base to visit several places. Good to see a disabled toilet and shower that was separate. Each pitch is fenced off from the ones either side which was fab for the dogs.

Excellent location directly on the beach. Powerful electricity connections, 10A at 242V. Stromness and the harbor are within sight. It is right by the golf course, which offers beautiful walks.

Great campsite. Warden on duty at certain points in time. Modern powerful showers and laundry facilities too. Beautiful views.

Beautifully located campsite, great pitches and views, sanitary facilities fairly new, but usually not very clean. Good location near the ferry harbor and Stromness center.

The campsite itself is in a very interesting location. The approach is a little adventurous, but if you choose the right spot, you get a fantastic view. For our taste, it was a little overcrowded. The washroom and the normal internet connection are very slow. The showers are combined with the toilets, which can cause bottlenecks in the morning and evening.

Cracking wee campsite with nice views and walks close by. Friendly welcome and had all the basics you could need. Plenty of wildlife to spot, so keep your eyes peeled.

A great location overlooking the harbour and water. Facilities were clean if a little dated although limited dishwashing facilities when campsite full. Warden very friendly and helpful. Lovely walk into town. Limited options to eat out so book in advance.
