Been here?
A forest-edge spot at the Roman battle site on the Harzhorn, suitable for a one-night stop. Hold-and-parking-prohibition signs are present, although overnight stays have been reported. The motorway can be heard but is limited. Parking is somewhat uneven and the surrounding area is wooded.

Yes, there really are no-parking signs here... I (and two others) nevertheless spent the night here. For me, the place is perfectly fine for an overnight stop. You can hear the motorway, but it is bearable.
Nonsense, the place is perfectly fine; the motorway can barely be heard. According to locals, the signs are only because of the youths, who sometimes come here to have fun. Campers are of course welcome, as long as they behave properly and leave no rubbish. That should really go without saying. The internet is also very good.
