A very special place. You need to stay a few days and get to know it and the people to really appreciate it. To some it might seem too expensive for very simple facilities. But it’s got its charm with the vege gardens, the little shop and the very kind people. We stayed 2 weeks at 20e/night. After getting off the ship on the evening of the Palermo match, we found ourselves in chaos. Although we had not booked, the very kind operator found us a little spot to spend the night and also gave us tips about places to visit in Sicily.

Peaceful accommodation, excellent for visiting the center, the sea, Monte Pellegrino, and the park; also convenient for the ferry terminal or Monreale. Supermarket, fritter shop, and bar nearby. Essential and very basic but efficient facilities. Fausto and his assistant are kind and friendly. Because there is plenty of green space, they allowed us early check-in and late check-out. We spent two nights here. My wife had no hot shower; mine was only lukewarm and fixed at chin height. Very basic sanitary facilities. The site was extremely full. We could only open the door after folding in the neighbor’s mirror. We could not get our table outside, so we ate standing up. But there is a good connection to the city center.

Near the stadium and the terminus of bus 101, which reaches the center in 20 minutes; by scooter, the Politeama Theater is 10 minutes away. The manager is very kind and helpful, and there is a truly lovely atmosphere.

The caretaker Fausto welcomed us warmly. He lent us an adapter for the caravan connector. The property is surrounded by a high wall, so our energetic son could not run onto the adjacent main road. The hot shower and always-clean toilet were also pleasant surprises. Finally, they helped us quickly start our dead car. The disadvantage is that there are quite a lot of mosquitoes, which surprised us in winter—we had not encountered them elsewhere in Sicily.
