Wonderful place! Especially good with children. Direct access to the lake, excellent facilities, friendly owners, and the most delicious ice cream! A great base for exploring the rest of the area.

It is a blessing that there is still a campsite like this, where tents are welcome, children can play, and there are no gravel pitches filled with oversized motorhomes. Kirsten and Anton are very friendly and helpful. The natural campsite is very well maintained, with exceptionally beautiful pitches. The sanitary facilities are absolutely clean, and the homemade ice cream is delicious. Heinrich (69) and Waltraud (69).

If you have children and would like to stay at a campsite with a playground, this is exactly the right place. Since we were looking more for peace and relaxation, we drove on.

For years, we have always enjoyed returning to Camping Vitsand. The warm hospitality, beautiful nature, and relaxed atmosphere are simply unique. The campsite is very well maintained and you feel welcome immediately. A particular highlight is the delicious ice cream! For us, one of the most beautiful campsites in Sweden. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful campsite! We had a really great time. The location is beautiful and you have everything you need close at hand. Including excellent campsite hosts Kirsten and Anton and their kids, plus the best ice cream in the world!

What a relief amid all the cleanliness of Sweden. The friendliness is second to none. We felt very welcome, with delicious vegan ice cream, clean facilities, lovely spacious pitches—we stayed by the little river and could float to the jetty without having to swim much—an enjoyable motorboat rental, and warm bread rolls delivered to the tent in the morning. Anton, Kirsten, and the kids are wonderful people. I miss the place already.

We planned to stay here for two days, but ended up staying a week. We had a fantastic time. Everything Anton, Christina, and not to forget their children, organized and made available for everyone was wonderful. Fresh bread rolls at your pitch every morning, delicious homemade ice cream, and a pizza evening. Everything was lovely. We definitely recommend this campsite.

Sorry, I cannot understand the positive review. For one night, 310 kronor without electricity, 30 kronor for the dog, and no grey-water disposal. The owners’ own children use it as an adventure playground, so it is very noisy. The showers are not clean, the drain smells, and nothing is heated. The whole site is neglected, and it is very difficult to find a level pitch. Thanks, but never again.

What a lovely place. Due to a breakdown with our motorhome, we had to sleep in a furnished tent, but that was certainly no punishment. A fire pit directly by the lake in front of the tent. Delicious bread rolls and fantastic ice cream every day. Thanks to Anton’s moose route, we spotted no fewer than five moose. Woken every day by calling cranes. A little paradise. Anton and Kirsten, thank you for your hospitality.

A different but very cozy place! Park right beside the large lake, with a swimming area, fishing, and rental of various boats. Good service building and friendly owners! Recommended for peace and seclusion. Only a few kilometers from the E45. Freshly baked bread and buns are available every morning. We will be back!

We agree with the previous reviewers. This really is a little paradise. If you are traveling in the off-season, stopping here is practically a must!

One night while passing through invited us to stay for a week. Definitely recommended, especially with children!

A beautiful place to spend the night. We stayed by the lake and had a wonderful view. The campsite is less suitable for very large motorhomes or very large car-and-caravan combinations. But if you are nearby, ask whether they can accommodate you. The Dutch campsite owners help you with the biggest smiles. Wonderful, hospitable people!

An incredibly nice place! We received the warmest welcome, with a beautiful pitch overlooking the water. Everything is simple but clean and sufficient.

We have now stayed with Kirsten and Anton for the second time—and yes, once again we had the wonderful feeling of being with good friends. Everything a camper’s heart needs is available. Children are especially well catered for. Keep it up, and all the best to you—Anne and Stefan.

Such a beautiful natural campsite with an incredible amount of charm. There were fresh bread rolls, delicious homemade ice cream, and chilled drinks in the morning. If we had had more time on our return journey, we would gladly have stayed longer. A heartfelt thank-you to the lovely operators.

Super relaxed, friendly owners. Fantastic ice cream!! Free choice of pitches with plenty of space between them. There is also a toilet disposal facility. Unfortunately, the lake water is not very nice—very brown. However, you can rent boats cheaply!

Dreamlike site. Access to the lake, SUPs and boats for rent, plus bread rolls and cinnamon buns for sale. The operators are incredibly kind. I spontaneously extended my stay. I will definitely return. They also have wonderfully delicious ice cream.

You absolutely must try the ice cream—it is a dream, just like the bread rolls. We felt as though we were staying with friends. A place with lots of heart and charm. Small, very quiet campsite on Lake Övre Brocken in Vitsand. Friendly Dutch owner couple. Clean sanitary facilities. A jetty for getting into the water. Everything is there for a few pleasant days.

A beautifully laid-out campsite directly on the lake. We were lucky that we were almost the only ones there and could choose the most popular pitch, which the very friendly and helpful Dutch owner was happy to show us. The sanitary facilities were clean and well maintained. In the morning, bread rolls could be delivered, and it was possible to buy fish caught in the lake. You can canoe, fish, make a campfire in the evening, and much more.

Everything is just right here! The most beautiful campsite on our trip through Sweden. Close to nature, peaceful, great views, friendly hosts, and clean sanitary facilities. Payment by card or cash—everything is possible. Be sure to ask them to show you the “moose route”—thanks to it, we finally saw one in the evening :)

Five stars with distinction. Pure freedom, a wonderful site with many untouched corners, genuine friendliness, and exactly what you need to recover. This is what real camping means to us. You feel warmly welcomed and completely comfortable here. About 5 km from the E45. Everything is practical and clean. Thanks to the operators for this experience.

What a lovely campsite! Anton gave us the warmest welcome. We got a beautiful pitch with a wide view over the lake. We enjoyed delicious smoked salmon, and in the morning freshly baked bread rolls were waiting by the motorhome. The sanitary facilities are neat and clean. Highly recommended for anyone who loves peace and nature. We certainly enjoyed ourselves.

Quiet campsite by a lovely lake. Helpful campsite owner and clean sanitary facilities. Besides being able to order bread rolls, they also have delicious scoop ice cream in surprising flavors. We thoroughly enjoyed two wonderful weeks at the campsite.

Nice, but a bit chaotic.

Despite the site being fully occupied, we had enough space around us. Everything you need is available. A small natural campsite, somewhat alternative, but that is a good thing. The chickens roam freely here. No luxury motorhomes and no long-term campers. Lovingly run, child-friendly, very quiet location, and everything clean. Waste is properly separated. Ice cream is sold from the ice-cream cart from 4 to 7 p.m. (cash/Swish).

Super-fun campsite directly on a lake, with the possibility of staying right by the water. The Dutch owners have created a really lovely atmosphere, and everyone is friendly toward one another. Homemade bread rolls are baked to order every day. On Saturdays they offer a pizza evening where you can make your own pizza. Also great for children. We would love to return!
