A large, almost level plateau below the mine museum, with magnificent mountain views and often strong wind. Overnight stays are possible, although occasional late-night vehicles and loud music have been reported. There is no service; toilets are available only during museum and café opening hours. The museum, restaurant and café are on site.

We arrived here around noon and slept well here after visiting the museum and site. We were three campers and it was quiet, though somewhat windy. No services, only toilets during the museum's daytime opening hours.
We would give it five stars if several vehicles had not arrived in the early morning to do stunts with their cars around the central roundabout, with loud music. There were only a few, but they worried us. To clarify, it was Saturday night.
It is beautiful to see how people used to work in the mine; definitely worth visiting.
We arrived after the museum had closed (11:00–18:00); the parking lot was almost deserted. Nearly level ground. Beautiful view of the mountains. Information boards about the mining site. Perfect for the night.
Really wonderful view and certainly okay for one night, even if you feel somewhat “on display.” The café/restaurant also offers dishes to go and the service is very friendly.
