1 Unter der Burg, 33178, Borchen
Been here?
This is a free stopping place at the town hall, but the service facility is currently defective. Water is unavailable, and grey-water drainage has not been found recently. The equipment takes only 50 cent coins, while the original information specifies grey water only with a hose.

The facility is currently out of order.
No grey-water disposal. At least, we couldn't find it.
No water; the post accepts money, but that is all. A worthless service from this municipality.
Yes, free disposal. Only 50-cent coins... 50 cents for 1 kWh of electricity. Fine overall.
...and also a nice Greek restaurant 550 meters away (closed on Mondays).
We were going to Kassel but during the storm hit the area we decided to stop half way, found this little aire in small village. Lidl only 500 yards down the road, it's very handy. Thank you to this village for this useful stop.
An absolutely recommendable place to stay overnight. Very quiet at night, with electricity and disposal facilities available. Thanks to the town of Borchen for this free option.
Very nice place for two motorhomes with water and waste services! Thanks to the municipality.
Unfortunately, the electrical post is being repaired during the week of June 23–27, 2025. Nevertheless, the caretaker was very friendly and helpful. You can still stay here, but without services until the stated date. Great place by a small green area with shade. Quiet at night.
Two pitches at the edge of a large parking lot in front of the town hall. Water and waste services, without an in-ground drain. I slept well. Supermarkets and a restaurant are within walking distance. Thanks to the town of Borchen for the free pitch.
A free place with water and waste services, but the pitches are too small. Our 6-meter van extended beyond the markings at both front and rear. The road beside it is heavily trafficked toward the motorway and is quite noisy late at night and early in the morning. The A33 can also clearly be heard.
Nice place for a short stop. Unfortunately, someone has been using this pitch as a permanent parking space for quite some time.
Great place. Unfortunately, some drivers park their campers so badly that they take up both spaces. So we couldn't stay there.
Great place. We used it while passing through. Two other campers were there. Many thanks to the municipality for providing the place. Please leave it clean!!
We were only here to empty the toilet. Grey water is possible only via a hose or bucket, as there is no drive-over drain. Many thanks to the town of Borchen for providing this!
We spent a quiet night in our panel van. There are two small pitches. The free parking lot next to it is for cars only and is occupied by town-hall employees in the morning. We felt safe and comfortable here, and standing on the paving stones was very pleasant in the rain. The only thing missing was a grey-water drain.
A snowstorm brought us here. We were happy to have found this place. Thanks to the municipality; everything you need is available. There are far too few places like this, and this one is even free.
This is absolutely not a nice place, and it is crowded with cars and trailers. Not recommended. We drove on.
Great place, everything you need is here. Many thanks to the municipality. We stayed from Sunday to Monday; it was very quiet, with birds singing—you'd think you were in the forest. The Greek restaurant “Konzina” gets 10 out of 10 from us. It was a seven-minute walk away, with a nice atmosphere, quick and tasty food, and reasonable prices.
