A parking area for visiting Landmannalaugar before crossing the water. It may theoretically be reached by a normal car without 4x4 via roads 32, 26, and 208, but the route is challenging. Allow 1h30min from the gravel road shortly after road 208 to the parking area. Overnight stays require camping payment of 3400 ISK per person, even without crossing the ford.

Warning: if you spend the night in this parking area, you have to pay the campsite fee, even if you do not cross the ford. It is not indicated, but checks are carried out. The campsite is expensive, by the way (3,400 ISK per person).
