Mountain parking, no stays permitted

It is no longer possible to park in this area. I managed to spend the night in my car opposite the chairlift, leveling it with two stones. How sad! On a hot day, only a few motorhomes stayed overnight.✦Translating

31 May 2026: only three motorhomes and a few cars, some of which stayed there all night. A simple sloping area; the only level spot is next to the currently unusable service point, which is TERRIFYING because of the greenish water touching the grate, along with paper residue and excrement left by some gentleman. A peaceful night in breathtaking surroundings. The restaurant refuge next door is very good.✦Translating

From 8 June 2026, the Cavone/Corno alle Scale area, starting from the large meadow on the right before the Cavone refuge, will be paid parking from 7:00 to 18:00 every day. Payment is made at the machines, with the following rates: Cars: €1/hour, €6/day, maximum €35/7 days. Motorhomes/caravans: €10/day, non-divisible, maximum €50/6 days. Buses/coaches: €5/hour, €15/day, €50/4 days. Motorcycles/mopeds: free. No comment.✦Translating

Paid parking from 8 June 2026. €10 for one day. €50 maximum for 6 days. Water and dump services remain the same; the parking area is still sloping. No longer worth it—a wonderful place ruined by paid parking. I will not return.✦Translating

We spent two quiet nights at the beginning of August. There are spaces reserved for motorhomes, although cars sometimes occupy them. Excellent starting point for numerous walks. There is a water fountain, recycling bins and a dump station.✦Translating

I was there in mid-June. At night it is pleasant and very quiet, while during the day, especially on weekends, there are many people and cars. One drawback in summer is that everything is in full sun and, despite being at 1,400 meters above sea level, it is hot! Overall, however, it is a nice place to spend one or two nights, with an equipped pine forest and a refuge/restaurant nearby. Excellent starting point for various hikes.✦Translating

Long weekend around 2 June: as expected, a swarm of cars that not only parked illegally in the area reserved for motorhomes, but also blocked access by stopping double-parked in front of the motorhomes. I imagine all sunny weekends are similar. Very peaceful overnight stay; I recommend bringing leveling chocks. Water and dump services working.✦Translating

Spacious parking with big recycling bins, efficient dumping station, a bit inclined and pretty crowded during the weekend, nontheless very quite. Perfect for a good rest in the freshness of the mountains, close to the lake and different hiking paths.

Good starting point for hikes. Routes are well signposted. Good refuge where you can taste local dishes. Water and dump services efficient. On somewhat uneven and slightly sloping asphalt. Peaceful and cool night. The road to get there is a typical mountain road, very steep, but it is worth it. Thanks to the community.✦Translating

Free camper area with camper service and some pitches (with a little slopping).

A very positive experience. The parking area is slightly sloping but bearable. The place is very nice, with a small lake and a bar-restaurant. Directly opposite the motorhome spaces is a large, completely shaded picnic area with tables and a grill. Several trails start here. The dump and water-filling facilities are very useful.✦Translating
