Been here?
A small, shaded natural campsite beneath an oak grove, 300 meters from Saou village, with mountain views and pitches suited to vans or small motorhomes. It offers simple clean sanitary facilities, a communal kitchen or room, barbecue facilities, and wood-fired pizzas, with village shops, restaurants and services within walking distance. The setting is very calm and nature-focused, with free-roaming chickens and sheep. The terrain is partly steep or uneven, and larger motorhomes may not fit; some sanitary facilities include dry toilets.

Simply wonderful, this nature campsite! Extremely friendly operators; chickens and sheep roam freely; fantastic mountain panorama; a real oasis of well-being. The village of Saoû is a peaceful little gem and can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. We will definitely come back!Translating
Very pleasant stopover a few minutes’ walk from Saou, with beautiful mountain views. Warm, family-like and caring welcome. The wood-fired pizza was much appreciated, and the shady pitches are ideal for vans.Translating
Magnificent views from several pitches. Impossible for a motorhome, but our Citroën Jumper van managed it. Simple sanitary facilities, communal kitchen and barbecue. Very close to the village with an organic grocery shop, bakery and restaurants. Very quiet!Translating
Not great for motorhomes. Not our kind of stopover.Translating
Charming little shady, nature-oriented campsite, surrounded by chickens. Very friendly welcome. Clean sanitary facilities. Large, convivial common room. Food available, including pizzas. Close to the charming village with bars, restaurants and artisans. Very quiet and respectful campers. Unsuitable for motorhomes. Simple but effective.Translating
Very pretty and convenient, close to the village, with superb views. Some pitches are flat and others less so, but all the lower ones are very shady.Translating
I would have liked to stop here, but there was no reply to my email or phone calls. When we were very close, the signs were incorrect, there was nobody to welcome us, and no welcome was mentioned. There were people everywhere. Charming, but I did not want that much proximity, understandable around 15 August but still… Maybe next time.Translating
Rustic campsite with a very warm welcome and great respect among campers. Quiet, with no unnecessary lighting. Suitable for small vans; the terrain is steep.Translating
Excellent camping area, great welcome and magnificent views. It is set within a mini-farm with chickens and sheep! Absolute peace despite a large number of guests, thanks to exceptional mutual respect. Spotless sanitary facilities and showers, for €8.50. The only downside is the church bell, which rings every 30 minutes day and night. It is not bothersome in a van, but somewhat more so in a tent.Translating
We spent the night here in a van. The spot is magnificent, surrounded by greenery and quiet. There is a common room for cooking, sharing meals and spending the evening. Price: €18.40 for a van and 2 adults without electricity. Note that wild camping is not permitted in the municipality of Saou.Translating
Visited at the end of September 2023; two nights became a week—we felt very comfortable. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Nature-oriented, ecological campsite, partly with composting toilets. The sanitary facilities were very clean and located in various buildings. Brilliant common room with kitchen, furnished as comfortably as home. Pitches in the old oak forest, more suitable for small campers.Translating
Beautiful natural camping area with a large heated picnic room. There were four large motorhomes; it is possible with care. Very friendly welcome.Translating
