This off-road parking spot on Stang Lane is suitable for an overnight stay and has plenty of forestry tracks for walking or cycling. There are no parking fees or notices, and the area is generally peaceful, though the ground slopes slightly. Midges can become a serious problem around 9pm.

Good for overnight. Good walks
A nice spot. No parking fees or notices. Peaceful and quiet. Slight slope but manageable. Lots of walking routes.
Beautiful location, nice and peaceful and plenty of walks. Dog walkers come and go but all friendly. Only issue we had is midges, there were thousands came out around 9pm, they were very angry ones too. Luckily we were close to home so left to come home as we were bitten alive.
Nice place. Cars drive fast past it, but it is quiet in the evening. We did not see the first walkers until ten in the morning. Lots of flies, although they disappear in the evening.
Stayed in this spot a few times. Sheltered and quiet. Does get Dog walkers early in the morning. If you want better mobile signal go to the spot further up the road.
