Been here?
This is a small daytime parking area in central Portorož, beside the coastal promenade and opposite steps leading to the sea. Parking costs 2 e/1 hour, and campers are allowed only between 9 and 21 hours. Around 4-5 of the approximately 16 spaces suit large motorhomes, with vehicles up to 6.40 m reported as suitable. A bus stop is less than 10 minutes away, and Piran is reachable by bicycle or on foot.

Small parking area right by the main road, next to the seafront promenade. Only about 4–5 of the roughly 16 spaces are suitable for large motorhomes. There is a high wall on one side and tall bushes just beyond the edge of the parking area on the other. Across the road, there is access to the sea via a hotel beach, which is also freely accessible to the public. Beach services are available for a fee.
Very suitable for visiting the city. If you leave the parking area and walk immediately to the left, the bus stop is 100 m away. Line 1 runs more or less according to schedule, which is posted there. There is no timetable posted for the return trip.
One of the few parking areas where campers are allowed, but only between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. The bus stop to Piran is less than 10 minutes away. During the Whitsun holidays, there was still plenty of space in the afternoon. In my opinion, only suitable for campers up to 6.40 m. Only a few spaces on the side facing the meadow are suitable for that. If the rear section extends over the meadow, the front of the vehicle only protrudes slightly.
Great for the day! Saturday at noon, it was crowded everywhere, yet this parking area was almost empty when we arrived! Ideal for reaching Piran along the seafront by bicycle or on foot. €2 per hour, payable in coins. Thanks, park4night!
Convenient for going to the thermal baths in Portorož and Piran, either on foot, a few kilometres away, or by bus.
Ideal for visiting Piran, with some shade. We took the bus to Piran, €2 per person and less than 10 minutes travel time. The bus operated from June until today, 31 August.
We went there on a Saturday and a Sunday in August and always found a space at any time, even though everything was quite crowded everywhere else. A good option to remember; it is one of the few places accessible with a 7 m camper.
Perfect for a short stop and dip in the sea. 2€ per hour and directly opposite steps down to the water.
Ideally located parking area! A little far from Piran on foot, but it seems the city of Piran does not want to allow motorhomes to park. Along this road, several parking areas accept motorhomes at the same rate of €2/hour, payable via the EasyPark app. Buses pass in front of the parking area every 20 minutes, and you can pay by card directly on the bus, which is very convenient.
Well-located and lightly used parking area. Ideal for parking a van or motorhome. You can easily reach the town of Piran by bicycle.
Perfect for visiting Piran, which is also a very beautiful town and well worth the trip! €2 per hour, coins only. The parking area is quite small, but surprisingly there were plenty of spaces available, and it was monitored by an attendant. Accessible for vehicles up to 7 m. Piran is a 40-minute walk along the sea.
Well-located parking area. €2/hour. The machine accepts only coins, with no refunds, or use the EasyPark app without service fees. The spaces are very wide. However, vehicles can be no longer than 7 m, with an overhang onto the grass. Asphalt is perfectly fine. Today at 10:15 a.m. there was only 1 motorhome and 1 car; at 2:30 p.m. there was still plenty of space. A 40-minute walk to Piran, with a beautiful route along the sea.
Important! This is not a parking place for a day trip to Piran with a camper. The city does not want to see campers as day visitors. We found no space that day that was less than 4 km from the city centre.
Great place to explore Piran, for example by bicycle. Easy to pay via EasyPark. We felt safe. We had no problems parking our 6.5 m camper there.
Parking here is so stressful, because of the small spaces and the high curbs, that you can easily hit. The ground is fragmented . The only good thing, that the parking lot is next to the seaside. Parking costs 2€ for one hour, and you can stay only from 9:00 to 21:00.
Enough space even for 7 m; plan on bringing plenty of coins. The machine accepts only small change, and the beach bar opposite does not provide change! Otherwise, parking here is outrageously expensive, as everywhere in this area: €14 for 8 hours.
