Hiking parking, busy road

The place is pleasantly shaded. The main road cannot be ignored. €5 would be reasonable; €7 is too much.

We liked the place. Nicely shaded under trees, almost empty at night, and the road is not heavily trafficked. Beautiful forest and heath areas nearby, boat rental, beach bar, and a super-clean public toilet within a 300-meter walk.

Unkempt parking lot, and the municipality of Armelinghausen wants to raise the price again to €7. That is presumptuous. The site is outside the built-up area on a heavily trafficked federal road.

This is a standard parking lot just off a busy road. We were there off-season, and it was quite dark under the tall trees. It's also shared with cars.

We stayed opposite in the other lot because this one is officially limited to vehicles up to 6 tonnes. I cannot understand the reason, though. Otherwise, it is as already described.

Great place for one or several nights. Also suitable for larger combinations. Starting point for many activities. Very clean site, with rubbish bins. The adjacent expressway is within earshot but not excessively busy. The parking fee is €6; the friendly inspector Günther comes around 5:30 p.m. to collect it.

A shabby parking lot by the road. Cheeky to charge money for an overnight stay.

We were only here for the day to go hiking. There are beautiful marked hiking trails. According to the information board, there is even a bread-roll service!

A nice pitch for hiking and cycling tours. However, it is not free: at 8 p.m. someone from the municipality came to collect €6 for the night.
