Unnamed Road
Been here?
A small free car park beside the ruins of Doe Castle at the head of Glen Lough. It is tidy, level and very quiet in the evening, with a water tap but no other services. Visitors use the site during the day, while larger campers should arrive only after 7pm. The castle can be explored, and the area is generally suitable for smaller motorhomes.

Great place to spend a quiet night without road noise, although a few fast cars come early in the evening to race around and leave just as quickly.
Very quiet place. We spent the afternoon here. Visitors keep coming, but there is enough space. I would have liked to stay overnight, but unfortunately I have to continue.
Very quiet. Right beside Doe Castle. No other vans here this evening. Water is available but there are no other services. Tidy and level site. Leave no trace !
Great spot. We and three other vans had a very quiet stay, and you can walk around the castle. There is also a tap.
Perfect stop for the night. Flat and quiet, we were alone here in October 25. Water tap very useful. Nice to explore the castle ruins. Someone came and unlocked the gates around 9.00. Excellent Braai restaurant in town
Quiet park up with a hidden water tap. Excellent phone signal and tarred parking lot.
Quiet parking area from the afternoon, directly in front of the castle. The coffee van is closed, as it was two years ago. Very remote place.
Busy during the day, quieter in the evening. More suitable for smaller motorhomes. We had a pleasant, quiet night. Water tap at the entrance to the castle.
A wonderfully quiet night alone in the parking lot of a castle ruin. A nice, flat, free place without services, with a view of the castle. Visits by appointment only.
Quiet place for one night with a direct view of Doe Castle. There is even a water connection. No problem for larger motorhomes up to 5.5 m; in the evening you are almost alone.
very quiet, not really suitable for larger vans, 6m no problem. A very pleasant stop.
Nice little park up, just us and one other camper. Friendly donkeys in the field opposite too! Bit breezy mind but no bother.
lovely place to park up, very atmosphetic. Cafe not open when we stayed. 4, under 6m vans parked night we stayed and there was plenty of room. Visited by same car twice with hooded youth driving. Glad I wasn't the only van!
Large parking area for overnight stays. Quiet and sheltered from the wind, in a very evocative location with a castle, which can be visited free of charge because it has no interiors, and a lake. I confirm that water can be collected from the tap near the picnic area. Recommended!
Amazing stop with castle and old cemetery as well. Head to Glenveagh castle after this. The gardens and castle are stunning.
Drinking water, very quiet, castle to look at, idyllic approach!
I passed through here very early one morning, there were 2 campers at the time but probably ok with another 2 max. Very quiet location overlooking doe castle and Lackagh River. Signal on 3/smarty good.
We slept here and it was fantastic, with a water tap for refilling.
Parking sheltered from wind and noise, flat and facing the castle. Water tap available. I highly recommend it, and do not leave your rubbish behind.
Very peaceful night ( Friday ). No visitors to the castle in the evening or until about 10am. Myself and two other vans overnight … plenty of room. Two taps available, no other services. 4g available, but slow.
Very quiet peaceful place, a great stopover but I would recommend it just for the night , because it will be busy during the day we don't want to annoy the locals
