Quiet overnight parking, early traffic

Great little spot. Very quiet considering it's just off the road. Short walk into the lovely village.

Ideal for visiting Monschau and staying overnight. There is a footpath uphill from the parking area. Perfect for walking the dog. There is no traffic at night.

Access is prohibited from both directions for vehicles over 2.5 tonnes!!

A super quiet and peaceful overnight stay. I used the ramp to try and level the campervan a bit. The city is very different and beautiful; it was a worthwhile stop.

A spot with a beautiful view and little traffic. Quiet, with an occasional passing car, though it was early March. Five minutes’ walk to Monschau. Wonderful little village, beautiful houses along the flowing water. Lots of walks. Well worth visiting, trying the local food, and enjoying nature and walks.

Because it is directly beside the road, it is fairly quiet at night. From around 5 a.m. there is heavy traffic. About 400 m from the town. If you walk up the path on the left and keep left by the houses, you get a beautiful view at a small chapel; from there you can easily reach the town centre.

Simple parking area along the main road into Monschau. Slightly sloping. The morning noise is not too bad.

A large ‘lay-by’. Constant noise from traffic, even at night. Can walk to Monschau up the forest path or follow the road but wouldn’t really recommend.

The parking area is quiet, although it is directly beside the road. There is little traffic in the evening, and on a Saturday evening we were the only ones there. The route into town has no pavement for the first few metres, but you can take a track to the left up the hill if you do not want to walk on the road.

Arrived a little late at night. Roadside parking area on an incline. I left immediately.
