Ethniki Odos Faistou Agias Galinis, 740 56, Galini
Been here?
A tree-filled campsite with shaded pitches, a pool, a taverna and a short walk to the beach and town. The welcome is friendly, the food is good, and recent comments describe the site as clean, although grey-water disposal is difficult and the pool can be crowded by outside youths. Trees limit access for vehicles over 7.5 meters.

Actually a top-notch place. Deducted points because gray water can only be emptied with great difficulty, bucket by bucket, and another point because the swimming pool is often occupied by hordes of completely undisciplined youths from outside.
Very friendly welcome; the height restriction is imposed by the trees. Good food in the tavern, everything always super clean, pool use included. At night, the sounds of the birds make you feel almost as if you were in the jungle.
€24 for a motorhome, two people and electricity. Shaded pitches, some without shade as well. Grass and sand ground, also suitable for rainy days. Pleasant location with a short coastal walk to a small village with restaurants. Hot water for washing dishes, with plenty available. Well-maintained pool. Laundry €5.
We looked at the site last year in May and thought everything was good. Current situation: the washrooms are very old and dirty, and the toilet buckets have been slowly overflowing; no cleaning has been done for three days. Of course it is the off-season, but if you operate it as a campsite, a certain level of hygiene should be maintained. After all, you pay the full price for it.
€33 per night with electricity for two adults and two children. The owners are lovely. Very close to the beach. The shared showers and toilets need more maintenance. You have to pay in cash, and they keep your identity card during your stay.
Quiet place with many trees; many cats; both the grounds and the sanitary building and the path to the sea could be better maintained; hot showers with good pressure; reception unattended; tavern and pool closed; no gray-water drain; washing machine €5; electricity €4; €18 per night without electricity, including showers; identity card retained until payment.
Wonderful place to let your soul unwind. We stayed here for several months and can only recommend it. For large combinations like ours, or large motorhomes, it is almost the only place in Crete, with many trees providing good shade in summer. Nice operators with a delicious tavern. Olive-Kreta says thank you.
A great place even in winter. You can easily reach the campsite with a tall camper. Just do not follow Google for the last few meters.
It’s a lovely site, friendly staff, pool and beach.
Great campsite near Agia Galini. There is a pool, the sea is a few minutes away, the tavern serves very good food, and there are lots of lovely cats. Everything was in great order, it was pleasantly quiet, we enjoyed it and will gladly come back.
Iconic place with some “more mature” permanent guests (old hippies?). Everyone is very nice and the atmosphere is very alternative. The restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. The pool is a blessing in the heat. The beach with its promenade and restaurants is within walking distance, as are the shops. The facilities are more than adequate, as already described.
We stayed here for three nights. The sanitary facilities are always clean. Hot water was also always available. We felt very comfortable because we were warmly welcomed. The Kipos tavern is highly recommended. The only disadvantage is that there is no drain for emptying motorhomes—only the chemical toilet.
Fabulous campsite - we received a very warm welcome, including some eggs for our breakfast. The facilities are very clean, showers powerful & hot & you have everything you need , even toilet paper lol. There is a camp kitchen & a seating area. It’s about a 15 min stroll into the village, which has lovely tavernas & shops. Pool & taverna will open in summer. €22 pn, inc EHU - good value.
Great place, clearly showing its age, but everything is clean and there is warm (hot) water without limits. Maria, the owner, is very nice; we were even given eggs. Everything is still closed, but two cafés are open in the small harbor. Pitches vary in size, but are also suitable for vehicles over 7.5 meters.
I can only agree with the reviews. Quiet and rustic place; the showers and toilets are old but very clean. When we left, we were given some fresh eggs. Thank you very much.
Good, basic campsite. Friendly owners. Washing machine can be used by arrangement. There is no height restriction as described. We are here with our large 3.6-meter-high vehicle. In the winter season, free choice of pitch. Short walk to the village, about 10 minutes.
I absolutely cannot understand the negative reviews about the sanitary facilities. The rooms are not new, but they are still in acceptable condition. The water does not run at high pressure, but it is very warm, and that is what matters. We were welcomed very warmly by Maria (just a moment, I’ll be right back—and there she was with a tablet and homemade cookies). Highly recommended.
A tavern (greasy food) with parking. The sanitary facilities are a disgrace considering what is charged for parking. Calling this a campsite would be a gross exaggeration.
Very quiet in the off-season at the beginning of November; the facilities (pool, tavern, mini-market) are all closed. The sanitary facilities, as often described, are old and not clean. There is no pit for emptying gray water, so we carried it in a bucket to the black-water disposal point. Fresh water works, but it is easy to find on Crete.
Safe place . Easy to access, we travelled with our motorhome perfect for self-sufficient campervans. Thanks
Shaded pitches, beautiful pool, five minutes to the beach and ten minutes to town, very friendly staff, owner, highly recommended restaurant—reserve a table. Kitchen available.
We were here with two campervans for three nights, October 4–7, 2024. The tavern is still the highlight, which is why we stayed at Camping “No Problem” again this time. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities now urgently need renovation and were very, very dirty and disgusting during our stay. The two stars are only for the tavern. Cool marketing slogans alone are not enough.
A quiet and somewhat disorderly campsite! Reservations are not accepted, and when you arrive they tell you: park wherever you want! Prices: 7-meter motorhome €6; per person €7; electricity €4. Total per night €31. I think it is perfect!!!
Do not follow the GPS; turn right at the sign. We stayed four days and three nights, centrally located for sightseeing. Free choice of shaded pitches, beautiful pool, well-maintained grounds, good tavern. The only complaint is the rather mediocre sanitary maintenance; there was no cleaning during the weekend. A thorough cleaning of the tiled showers in the off-season would be easy—the only negative point. Very pleasant and lively village.
