Rue Jean Samazeuilh, 33300, Bordeaux
Been here?
Bordeaux Rue Jean Samazeuilh is a small free lakeside parking facing the lake. Located in the Bordeaux Lac hotel district with a tram station across the road, it offers quick access to the city centre in 25 minutes. However, the area has persistent safety issues: homeless encampments, rubbish, and suspicious people nearby. Parking is forbidden on days of sporting or cultural events. It is busy during day but quiet at night.

We left this area after 10 minutes. Several unsettling people convinced us not to stay. The security guard at the casino next door confirmed that the place isn't great.Translating
Good option to visit city centre. Close to hotels and shops. Stunning lakeside location with views across the lake. Easy tram to city centre, tram stop is literally across the road. But... There is a homeless commune under the bridge, close by, and a lot of rubbish around that area.
Very convenient and picturesque setting on the bank of the lake. Plenty of spaces but only available when there are no sporting or cultural events. Tram stop very close by and good cycle routes to the centre. Downside was that it was very noisy at 6am due to disco boys in a car close by and Lorries delivering to the nearby hotels.
We stayed one night in the parking lot. It worked well. You can easily get into the city from there by bike. There is also a tram nearby that you can use.Translating
We arrived and the place didn’t give us a good impression (shady people around, some guy was staring at our RV), so we went to the IKEA parking lot instead. Good thing we didn’t stay, because it turns out this parking area is close to two spots where many homeless people live.
When we arrived, we didn't feel comfortable. The place had a strong smell of rubbish, the atmosphere was noisy (cars/tram REALLY close by), and we encountered some rather shady people during the short time we stayed. We preferred not to remain. Not really suitable for settling in and sleeping!Translating
Located on Tram Line C. You can quickly get into the city by tram or bicycle. In the evening and at night, it can become noisy because of young adults parking, chatting, and listening to music. We had no problems, though. Parking only—no camping behavior!!!Translating
Ideal place where we spent a very quiet night to visit Bordeaux. There is a sign prohibiting parking during sporting or cultural events. It is next to the tram stop, and you can be in the center in 25 minutes. The lake is wonderful.Translating
Although it is spacious, there is a sign that we believe theoretically prohibits parking in one area. We found a spot for our 3.10 x 8 m motorhome and spent the night perfectly, right in front of a beautiful lake. It is somewhat busy during the day, but quiet at night and 25 minutes from the center. We were a little nervous because of all the motorhome thefts in Bordeaux, but we stayed out all day without any problems.Translating
Of course it's great to have free parking near the lake with a tram stop right next to it. The place could be quiet if young people didn't cause trouble until nearly 3 a.m., blasting music and banging on vehicles while we're trying to sleep. No toilet, unfortunately.Translating
Highly recommended place for visiting the center by tram and spending the night beside the lake. Of all the places we saw on Park4night in Bordeaux, this seemed the most suitable.Translating
5 stars for what it is, a decent free park close to the city. 20 minute bike ride into the city centre or there’s a tram spot right there. Felt safe and generally quiet a part from the tram noise early morning. No toilets nearby.
We have just spent 2 nights here. Quiet place beside the lake, right next to a tram station (but not disturbing at all). Very convenient for parking and visiting Bordeaux.Translating
We spent a quiet night here after watching the sunset over the lake. Nothing to report.Translating
More or less quiet night, perfect after leaving a concert.Translating
VERY BAD Parking with a sign prohibiting parking. Very small parking spaces. Very, very busy area. I don't know why they say it's good; I don't understand why all the Park4night parking areas in the Bordeaux region say they're good. IT IS NOT.Translating
Thank you to the municipality for providing this place. Quiet night behind the Novotel.Translating
We came to this parking area after fleeing another one when we saw that the camper in front had broken windows and an open door. Quiet and next to the tram. Beware of mosquitoes, as it is beside the lake. Free and no services. There was another camper. Across from the hotel, it felt safe.Translating
Excellent for visiting Bordeaux. Free parking and the “metro” 1 minute away. Fantastic.Translating
Very good place to park right next to the tram and visit Bordeaux. We didn't sleep there, but it looked quite peaceful beside the hotel.Translating
Good for one night, but in summer, beware of the mosquitoes!!! Tram right next to it, so convenient for visiting Bordeaux.Translating
