5 SOLVIK, 456 91, Kungshamn
Been here?
A seaside campsite with impressive views over the Bohuslän coastline, family activities and a beach 700m away. Facilities include a playground, adventure golf, shop and access to walking routes, while Smögen is about 5km away. The sanitary facilities are clean and functional in some areas but older, and some showers or cabins need renovation. Wi-Fi is not available at the pitches, and some nights can be noisy.

All in all, a beautiful campsite in wonderful surroundings. The only issue is that the showers are not worthy of a five-star site. They all have a 1970s charm and urgently need renovation. We are used to something different at five-star sites. Some floor tiles are even missing in the cooking area. At €85 per night, this is unacceptable.Translating
We reserved pitches by the sea, but there was no Wi-Fi. We asked reception why, and they explained that it was only available in the permanent rental units. We rented two bicycles; rentals are offered only as a full-day package, to go to Smögen, about 5 km away. There is a food truck. At our pitch, children riding go-karts could be disturbing.Translating
The showers were included in the price, but they were not the most modern. In some places the shower holder came loose. According to reception, the site was full and only an emergency space remained. This public parking area on the main road, outside the campsite, cost 500 SEK (€47). For such an emergency solution, 200 SEK would be enough, but charging the full price feels like profiteering.Translating
The site is beautifully located, with a good path to the sea and swimming access with a diving board. A short distance from Smögen. Very friendly staff and several activities for children. Three stars because of the sanitary facilities: at the top of the hill there is an old container with three dirty, old, and partly defective cubicles. Despite the site being full, the toilets were thoroughly cleaned only once in the morning. Too expensive for that.Translating
Beautiful site, especially suitable for families with children. It was somewhat noisy at night during our visit. The sanitary facilities are clean and functional. Water supply and disposal work well. We are good walkers and walked with our dog to Smögen; there is a lovely footpath and cycle path.Translating
Great views of and over the rocky landscape, especially the pitches right by the water are really beautiful. Sanitary facilities are clean but somewhat old. Excellent opportunities for hiking and walking, and only a short bus ride to the colorful houses in Kungshamn.Translating
The view from the pitch on top of the rock is phenomenal, but the sanitary facilities are catastrophic: a dirty makeshift container. The sanitary building in another part of the campsite was reasonably okay. They advertise Wi-Fi, but it is not available at the pitch either. What a shame! We stayed only one night.Translating
Beautiful location of the campsite. We had a motorhome pitch on top of the rocks with a fantastic view. A short walk to a beautiful hiking area. Good price for a pitch with electricity. The toilet building is badly in need of replacement; it is like a container, and when it rains, it also rains inside the toilet building. There was only one washing-up station for the pitches where we stayed.Translating
Very beautiful pitch and an even more beautiful rocky landscape that invites you to hike. Brilliant view of the rocks. Nice staff! We stayed on the grass below, as it was too windy for us at the top. Shower and toilet facilities were very clean. It is just a shame about the kitchen and washing-up area, which are really very old and urgently need renovation. They were very worn and dated. Everything else was excellent!Translating
Great view, especially the spots on the hill are really beautiful! Sanitary facilities are clean but somewhat old. Many options for water supply and waste disposal. Great opportunities for walks, and only a short trip to the colorful houses in Smögen and the promenade.Translating
Very quiet, idyllically located campsite, beautifully set among the rocks. Great playground for the kids. Very friendly, attentive, and uncomplicated service at reception. In my opinion, very good value for money (2 nights with a motorhome including electricity, 2 adults/2 children) --> 750 SEK, approx. 30 euros per night.Translating
We are staying up on the rocks at site number five, which was recommended to us at reception as having a particularly beautiful view. The welcome was very warm overall. We are paying €340 and have a basic washroom nearby and a newer one farther down the slope. At the beginning of July, there are only a few campers here. Smögen and the beautiful Ramsvikslandet nature reserve are easily reachable by bike.Translating
I really liked it there. We had a pitch down by the water. It was quiet and had a beautiful view. The sanitary facilities were adequate, and there was a small shop. A walk up to the rocky landscape is recommended. Smögen is 4 km away and definitely worth a visit. I would come again.Translating
Very nice pitch. Very friendly. Quiet and everything very clean. We stayed for 2 nights. We liked it very much.Translating
Great place for motorhomes on the rocks, but the showers and toilets are either a 10-minute walk away or in a somewhat outdated container. Quiet in the off-season. Reception and shop were already closed when we arrived at 16:30. Price including electricity: 300 SEK — fair enough.Translating
We were here in May with our camper on the hill for 300 SEK per night. There are only occasional bathrooms in the upper area, but larger, well-equipped family bathrooms are also reachable in just over a 5-minute walk. Incredible view surrounded by nature. Uncomplicated check-in and friendly staff. Very dog-friendly.Translating
Still in the pre-season (May), the site is only moderately busy. Nevertheless, all facilities are clean and functional. Dogs are welcome, which we particularly like. We were warmly welcomed at reception and offered the option of choosing another pitch because one at the very far end had been automatically assigned to us during booking.Translating
We spent one night in a van at the end of April. Very pleasant campsite, with a playground for children. Small shop for a few groceries, and the possibility of booking via a QR code if arriving late. Indoor tables in block 2 for eating somewhere warm. Walking access to the heights of the campsite in a nature reserve with a very beautiful view.Translating
We stayed here around April 1. The pitches at the top on the rocks are incredibly beautiful; it felt as if we were standing at the end of the world. It was very low season, so there was almost no one else. No idea what it is like in summer when it is full, but this was spectacular. Only the sanitary facilities in a cold container were a little sad, but still five stars because of the view.Translating
Coming from the north (Norway), this was one of the first campsites in the area still open at this time of year. Grass areas, nice and level. Everything you need for a panel van. We really enjoyed it here.Translating
Huge campsite, very uncomplicated check-in, even somewhat later. Sanitary facilities slightly outdated and limited, but fully functional. Many activities are possible.
Very nice, family-friendly campsite. Reserving in advance is advisable; then you can drive to your pitch even during the campsite’s lunch break. Set in a wonderful landscape, and Smögen is only a few minutes away. Sanitary facilities are somewhat old but clean. Large family bathrooms. All in all, a great campsite!
We felt very comfortable on the pitch at the top of the plateau. The view is beautiful, and the pitches with artificial grass in each plot are pleasant. There is a 5 km cycle path to Smögen. We also enjoyed the bread rolls in the morning. Overall, we would recommend the site, even though the sanitary facilities are merely functional and could be cleaner in my opinion.
