Well-located aire for visiting Nevers, and nicely shaded. However, the proximity of Nevers Plage causes noise disturbances until late at night.
Perfect for a stop on the way home and for visiting Nevers.
A clean place. Not quiet until midnight because of a beach bar nearby. Large trees provide shade. No view of the Loire. The previous comment is wrong! There are no toilets here. We had bad luck entering and leaving. A service person came and repaired the machine; he arrived within five minutes! Trailers are not permitted. We left our moped trailer outside the site.
Well shaded; with temperatures of 34 degrees, we felt comfortable there. We stayed two days. It is a 20-minute walk to the cathedral.
Very well-located motorhome aire for visiting Nevers and especially very shaded during this heatwave! Everything works. We are only four vans tonight. The campsite next door has no more shaded spaces. I do not regret my choice: €14 for 24 hours.
Area in a strategic location on the Loire River at the edge of the city, with large shaded grassy pitches.
The site is open and the review is no longer accurate. We parked very well. The site is directly on the Loire and next to the old stone bridge. €14—perfect.
Motorhome aire 10 minutes from the town centre, with electricity, very well shaded, around ten pitches, for €26 per 48 hours.
Open today. Lovely stopover.
It has been open since today, with pitches facing the Loire.
Aire closed without explanation, with an anti-theft lock on the gate. Fortunately, the campsite was right next door and gave us a very warm welcome, so no regrets.
We are regulars here, but yesterday when we arrived late in the afternoon, the gates had been closed due to a gate problem. It is closed for the duration of the repair, I suppose. We ended up at the campsite opposite and were very well received. The price is reasonable, so do not hesitate. I am not sure we will return to the aire rather than the campsite.
Place permanently closed? Referral to the campsite opposite.
Aire closed today. What a shame, as it is well located and highly rated.
Aire near the entrance to Nevers. Ideal for visiting the town, although there is not much to see, especially as the cathedral was closed for renovation. The entrance and exit barrier is temperamental. A phone number is shown on the side of the machine in case of problems.
Great, quiet and spacious. These aires are really ideal, generally well located and especially with a shower, which is very pleasant. However, here be careful to shower using the handheld showerhead low down; otherwise the entire area, including your clothes, gets flooded. A simple protective curtain would be welcome! Only one shower. The disabled toilets do not lock.
Beautiful spacious pitches. Close to the town and right beside the Loire. We had a very quiet night.
So many complainers in the comments. This aire is pleasant and ideally located; the machine at the entrance is easy to use, and the disposal area is fine too. Are people becoming bitter, or am I reading badly?
We arrived and were surprised that the machine said there were no spaces left, although there were clearly at least six spaces. We called and sent a text message; someone arrived almost immediately and unlocked the system, apologising! Thank you—an excellent, peaceful night and top-notch services!
Arrived at 6 p.m. Although available pitches were visible, the aire displayed as full.
Thanks to the town. The aire is accessible and we spent a quiet night there, with the sound of water and an owl. It is just a shame there are not enough electrical points. Otherwise, very good. The town is accessible on foot across the bridge and there are many beautiful things to see. Thank you.
Easy-to-access place on the other side of the Nièvre from the historic town centre. Stabilised pitches, electricity, water and disposal facilities available. Quiet; trains run until 10 p.m. and resume at 7 a.m. Thanks to the town—the aire deserves credit for existing. Arrive early if you want a place; even yesterday, 17 February 2026, it was packed. The longer you stay, the more you pay: €14 for the first 24 hours, then €18.
Nice quiet site with 10 min walk to pretty and interesting town. Not all the pitches have EHU although if you have a long cable you could use the hook ups as there are 4 plugs on the boards. There is disposal for black and grey water. Fresh water is free and there are bins by the barrier. When you enter you are given a ticket with a code don’t lose it as you need to enter the code to exit.
Convenient for one night. Secure aire. Shame there is no view of the Loire. Not far from the town. Bring a long extension cable for the last pitch, which has no electrical point. It deserves credit for existing. Thanks to the manager.
Beautiful motorhome site; walk across the bridge and you are quickly in the charming old town. Unfortunately, only eight electrical connections, so make sure you arrive on time.
Quiet place in town. I arrived quite late in the evening, paid €14 and stayed one night longer than planned. I would have considered it normal to be charged another €14, but they asked me for €18! Nobody answers the phone to resolve the situation. A little angry.
Excellent place and the town is worth visiting. Walk to the tourist office to get a town map for a walk.
A nice convenient location. The entry machine could be a little more intuitive but we conquered it! perhaps a link to a youtube video would help first timers. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the electric hook up being included in the 14 euros. Great if you need/rely on it but we don't, so we would have liked to see a reduced rate for no EH.
Payment for the first day: €14.00. Payment for the following two days: €38.00. I did not understand?
Hello, the pitch is well located. Weak point: the cleanliness of the toilet and water disposal area and water supply. The motorhome owners themselves are also careless, which is a shame; that is why we are sometimes viewed negatively. Very unfortunate.
Some September reviews mentioned a lack of cleanliness, but I can say that as of today it is remarkably clean! I even met someone from the campsite who came to clean it. The place is really pleasant, quiet and well maintained. At €35 for three days, including 10A electricity and water, one would like all aires to be this welcoming!
Beautiful place with a view of Nevers Cathedral. Everything you need is available.
The aire is excellent: clean, bins, disposal station, electricity, close to the town. However, it is like a campsite, with caravans and tents also staying there, so how are the spaces calculated? Ten? We were farther back; it is disgusting, people relieve themselves like animals because they do not clean up.
Avoid this aire! It is poorly maintained, and if you arrive last, check whether there is space, otherwise you will be on the side without electricity. I called the number and was very pleasantly told, “Well madam, all the spaces have electricity—you just need to run a 10-metre cable!” So we pay €14 to park on the side? Great! The services are poorly maintained too.
Very poorly maintained aire in every respect: black-water disposal, green spaces and payment machine. Dirty bins. There should be more inspections at every level. Avoid this aire.
