Országközepe út, 2378, Pusztavacs
Been here?
A quiet, level tarmac spot near Hungary’s centre, suitable for one or two nights and surrounded by woodland where deer may appear. Water, rubbish bins, benches, tables, and a rudimentary dry toilet are available. It can become busier at weekends because it is a popular excursion site, but several stays of 3 nights were reported without problems.

A quiet place to spend the night.
A great place for a stopover or overnight stay on the way from Romania. Water, toilet and peace and quiet.
A really great spot, designed with lots of love! We arrived and saw deer :)
Super lovely spot! We stayed there for three nights without any problem! Does and fawns roam through the forest, a magnificent sight! Tap, bins, benches and tables… top-notch!
Good place for one or two nights. It is relatively busy. Apparently a popular excursion destination, also at night on weekends. Water and bins are available. A pit toilet is a pit toilet ;-)
Perfect place for one night.
Okay for one night; the facilities are there: water, bins and dry toilets (basic, bring your own toilet paper). The locals are… strange, almost intrusive, but not malicious.
We were three campers. The site is great. We used the dry toilet. What is the situation with the nature reserve? Is staying here perhaps not actually permitted?
Beautiful, quiet place with an asphalt surface and seating facilities away from the motorhome.
Pleasant location. Coming from the south, we found no mosquitoes and no stray dogs here. It is also a very clean location with nice facilities.
As already described, a great place. Clean and level parking. Large meadow for the dog to play. Dry toilet okay, water point and seating available. Very quiet night with lots of stars.
Quiet place with level asphalt parking. Nearby is an archaeological park with pleasant seating, a working well, a fire pit and rubbish bins. A perfect place for a peaceful night and breakfast in nature. I recommend it!
Comfortable spot, near highway but calm and quiet. Great place for stargazing
Very nice and pleasant place. Dry toilets and drinking water nearby. Finally we had a quiet night, but in the early evening some young people arrived with loud music.
Perfect! A good, quiet and informative place, with good explanatory signs, pictograms and photos of the local fauna and ruins. A fountain with very good water. We spent the night completely alone and watched the stars. There are two tables. Easy access for all types of vehicles. Highly recommended for travellers. There is shade. Everything is free. Regards.
We had a great, peaceful night; you are in the centre of Hungary. Easy access and a water fountain. Perfect.
very nice spot with some nice tables. there was plenty of space and a paved road leading up to it. also it's the geographical center of Hungary which is an nice added bonus.
Great place for overnight stays.
We have nothing to complain about. The site is paved and level, and it was wonderfully quiet: nobody disturbed us and nobody was bothered by us.
Nice place; it would also be quiet, with beautiful walks in the woods, but unfortunately local people come to park and chat next to the vehicle, sometimes staying for hours! So if you expect to be alone or secluded, you have to rely on luck. I was there on a Monday in March.
The site and access road are now paved. When we arrived, several cars were there. After dark, young people came close to our vehicle with firecrackers, so we left. Update: the firecrackers damaged our windscreen and two cab windows with soot particles. We no longer recommend this place—it is not safe.
A very beautiful and peaceful place! Many locals come for walks at the weekend, but they do not pay attention to you. The route is very easy for any vehicle on paved roads, but do not take Google's fastest route; drive across the village instead.
Not recommended in rain or with waterlogged ground; we got stuck in the mud and only just managed to get out. Perhaps Google Maps also directed us incorrectly, but the approach was very bumpy and led onto farm tracks. We cannot say anything about the site itself, and there may be an alternative approach without mud.
Very pretty and clean. Lovely picnic area with clean water.
Quiet, secluded from the motorway. A relaxing stopover.
Nice place exactly in the center of Hungary. We parked at the parking next to the trees. The park is big with a water fountain (drinkable) and benches. In the evening until approx. midnight many locals come for watching the stars (quietly). In the morning it’s very calm, only 1-2 cars passed.
Beautiful, quiet place; as a solo traveller, I felt safe.
Very quiet place; altogether there were two vans and one motorhome. Welcoming and relatively clean spot; we also picked up some rubbish left by others. A local couple on horseback came to ask us in the evening if everything was okay and said they were less than 2 km away if we needed anything. We stayed one night in a converted van.
A nice place for one night while travelling through Hungary. Peaceful, quiet and clean. Close to the motorway exit.
