Hinter dem Deich 9, 37213, Witzenhausen
Been here?
This accessible motorhome area is a gravel site near shops and within walking distance of Witzenhausen’s centre, but recent comments describe it as bare and affected by puddles and uneven areas. The current fee is 15€, payable only with coins; water and electricity cost extra, and card or app payment is unavailable. Gray-water disposal has recently been unreliable, while other supply and disposal facilities are available. The site is suitable for a short stop and nearby cycling.

Outrageous: increased from €7 to €15. We drove on.
€15 for a desolate gravel area is outrageous. We drove on.
It used to always be a nice stopover. But €15 instead of €7 last time is really too much. The gray-water disposal still doesn't work. I'll look for somewhere else next time. Gray-water disposal was opened this morning. Nevertheless, a price increase of over 100% is not justified.
Increased from €7 to €15. Payment must be made in cash with coins. No banknotes, no card, and no app connection. Never experienced anything like it. Water and electricity cost extra. Today we couldn't even dispose of gray water because they were doing construction. We used to like stopping there for one or two nights, but we'll look for somewhere else in the future.
Increased from €7 to €15 without any improvement.
Outrageously increased from €7 to €15 just like that. No wonder nobody is staying here.
Well-accessible motorhome pitch with fresh- and wastewater facilities. Good value for money. Shops directly on site. The city center is easily reachable on foot.
Since our last visit a few years ago, some potholes with puddles have unfortunately appeared on the gravel pitches. The parking meter is broken. Nevertheless, all in all this is complaining at a high level—the site, with its existing infrastructure, is suitable for several activities and offers a good retreat in the evening. So, thanks anyway to the city administration.
The site serves its purpose. It is easy to reach, but feels more like a parking lot. The facilities are a disaster, poorly maintained, and the amount of fresh water does not match what is advertised. One euro gets about 30 liters. There is a mud puddle in front of the black-water drain that you have to walk through; otherwise the fresh water does not work. Gray water only with a hose. Dear municipality, you can do better!

The site is okay, but you don't get the advertised 90 liters of water for €1.00. We just got 25 liters. The parking meter is broken, with no interest in repairing it. We're not surprised—the town looks the same. We drove on.
Decent site, a few minutes from the city center, fairly quiet location. Ideal for bike tours along the Werra and into the surrounding area. Shopping right outside the door, Good restaurants in town. The parking meter was broken, so it was free.
Good value for money. Spacious pitches. We spent a quiet night. We didn't need electricity. We only emptied the toilet; gray water can be disposed of at Diebesturm, without a hose—one star deducted.
We spent a quiet night here. Very close to the city center. The pitch is fairly level. We were in the second row, which was no problem. The motorhomes arriving later stayed on the neighboring gravel area.
