River parking, daytime only

Great spot, peaceful night, there were several vans. However, the gendarmerie came at 10 a.m. to inform us that wild camping is prohibited and that they patrol every evening and morning.

Very good spot for the day, but sleeping there is prohibited. The gendarmerie patrol came at 10 p.m. In Ardèche, a 1984 order prohibits wild camping, making it very difficult to find a spot. The gendarmerie advised us to use the motorhome spaces generally provided by the town councils.

Quiet spot with access to water. We were alone that night. Clean place.

Very good waterside spot! Beautiful shaded spaces, ideal for one night and spending the day in the water. Only one other van stayed with us overnight. Campground bin 50 meters away. 5G reception. Please keep this spot clean.

Great overnight spot; you fall asleep to birdsong and the sound of the river. In summer, spaces must be scarce. In mid-May, there were already five vans and not much space left.

Very good spot near the river for one night, very quiet, with only one other vehicle, and for us there was no barrier or prohibition sign. The Chassezac was perfect for a swim in the morning.

Entrance limited to 2.2 m. 20 meters to the river. 30-minute walk to the cliffs. Quiet in the evening and morning. Lots of shaded areas. Almost level.

Very pleasant, beautiful, and quiet. Near the river, with good 4G. We spent two nights here to climb the surrounding cliffs. Tolerated outside the season; keep a low profile and leave the place clean. It is not certain that the same tolerance applies in summer.

May 2, 2025. Great spot in the middle of nature. Barrier 2.10 m. Ideal for vans and small vehicles. Undisturbed, quiet night, with only birdsong at wake-up. Please respect this place by leaving it clean and not spreading out; it is not a campsite. For us, there were no problems out of season.

We spent one night here at the entrance to the parking area. There were five or six vehicles. The next morning, while going to the river, we noticed the same sign prohibiting caravanning at the site.

Nice spot, relatively protected from large motorhomes, quiet once the day is over and the parking area is empty, with several spots under the trees throughout the area.

We were able to spend one night here in August 2024. We went swimming first thing in the morning! Very good! ‼️The barrier had been removed‼️ We were able to drive onto the parking area without any problems with our 2.80 m-high camper. However, the barrier posts were still there, so it may be rebuilt in the future.

My favourite spot so far. Really quiet. Super close to the river. The river is perfect for swimming and hanging out and the car park has lots of different spots and was completely silent at night. Only me and one other camper over night.

We spent one night at this spot on May 7, 2024. We were alone; it was very quiet and clean at this time of year, outside the season. The downside: an enormous number of flying insects.
