14 Gaou de Vie, 83136, Sainte-Anastasie-sur-Issole
Been here?
This is a shaded picnic spot beside the Issole, with two picnic tables and a small bin. Overnight stays are possible, but the road is regularly used by local cars, walkers and dog owners, and people may gather in vehicles at night. Access can be difficult for motorhomes; the tunnel is marked 2m60 but has a stated actual height of 3m60 and width of 3m. There is no water or toilet access, while public toilets, a playground and bathing spots are about 10 minutes on foot along the river.

cute picnic area, i wouldn’t call that “lost in nature”the road, is frequently used by locals in cars or all day by people on little hikes or walking their dog and they are not afraid to show that it’s their fief. at night, also ppl chilling in their car drinking beer and watching tv, they didn’t bother me though. 5.0. came sniff around, didn’t say anything and went on their way.
A superb place.Translating
Very good night. Admittedly, there was some litter because a bin was torn apart by rats. Continuing along the road beside the river, there is a place to swim (10 minutes on foot), a great playground, and public toilets. However, a local clearly made it understood that he is not happy about vans and motorhomes being here.Translating
Unfortunately, I do not agree with the previous comments. The place was dirty when we arrived, and we had to clean up rubbish left by others! Endless barking—an absolute nightmare!Translating
Quiet and peaceful little spot where we had lunch in the shade.Translating
Allows you to spend a quiet night. Be careful: access is difficult for motorhomes. Just before arriving, there is a tunnel marked 2.60 m, but the actual height is 3.60 m and the width is 3 m.Translating
Several possibilities for parking the vehicle, a small bin, 3G/4G works with slight fluctuations. The Issole is currently flowing very calmly; there is a small weir nearby.Translating
Great for one night. Cars come by occasionally, but it is not disturbing. The local residents were also very friendly in the morning and greeted us.Translating
Good spot for one night with a picnic table and bin. A few walkers and little car traffic at night. Very accessible for all vehicles. No stray dogs, but a few wild boars opposite during the night. No water or toilet access.Translating
Lovely quiet place, although there is some passing foot traffic with off-leash dogs, so be careful if you have a dog with you. There is a bin, but there were many dog droppings and cigarette butts, so please clean up when you leave. The river was also dry at the time, but it is still a pleasant spot.Translating
Quiet little spot with two picnic tables. A small road passes by, but there is little traffic. Clean place with a bin. Be careful in wet weather; we almost got stuck. The river is dry in summer.Translating
Perfect spot to spend a quiet night next to a lovely little creek
