Free archaeological parking, dogs barking

during my stay, dog barking frequently on day time, but at night they are quiet. Safe & some places are shaded.

We parked on the verge by the cobbled approach road. Level enough. Friendly people and dogs. The dogs went quiet around 10.00p.m. for a very peaceful Sunday night. The archaeological site is worth visiting.

The night was not very quiet, mainly because of barking dogs. The museum is beautiful to walk through, and on the first day of the month it is free. Friendly people work there.✦Translating

Free parking in front of the entrance to the Bitola archaeological site. We were welcomed by some very friendly dogs and cats, whom we fed. Suitable for one night, although it is not very flat and the dogs' barking was a little disturbing.✦Translating

Lovely ancient site; we slept in the paved parking area in front. Photo 5 shows the area, monitored at night by cameras. A few cars drive over the paving at night. I always give the dogs treats when we arrive, and they sleep beside the campervan for our safety.✦Translating

We didn't stay overnight but noticed place is quiet. Archeological site ticket in 08/2025 3 euros. If you don't have a local SIM, there's a free wifi hotspot. Info totems around give pratically no information so you need to connect to website, scan or find on map the item. Sadly wifi reaches just first 10-20 meters. Anyway this place is an hidden pearl, even if in poor overall conditions.

The parking seems ok. But for those who are going there for the mosaics, please note that from November to the end of April they are covered with gravel

We parked right in front of the archaeological site. Quite a few stray dogs, but they were all very friendly, even with our dog. Quite a lot of barking at night, but we prefer that to the sound of cars. The site is really good. Free audio guide via a QR code with good explanations, internet available. A fairly good place to stay for one night and a good starting point for driving to Greece the following day. Access is suitable for all types of vehicles. There are several dogs and cats, but they are peaceful and do not bother anyone. An archaeological site that can be visited for €2 is right next door. There is a large rubbish bin at the site.✦Translating

Quiet place to spend the night near the town. A grocery store is within walking distance. Mostly quiet at night, apart from passing cars. The road is now paved and the parking spaces have a new surface. We found no nicer place to sleep in the area than this one.✦Translating
