La Savolière – Praz de Lys, 74440, Taninges
Been here?
Aire with 70 pitches at the foot of Praz de Lys-Sommand resort. Free parking in summer; €19–6€ per night in winter depending on stay length. Services (water, cassette emptying, gray water) cost €2 when available, but the service terminal is currently broken. Calm, steep setting with spectacular mountain views. Power outlets are limited; a free Nordic shuttle operates 250m away.

The service point is still broken this evening.Translating
Very beautiful aire, with few people, allowing us to park facing the mountains. I think the service point was repaired this evening.Translating
Service point out of order today. But there is a large free parking area. It is the only place where you can spend the night; the other parking areas prohibit overnight stays. A shame the services are out of order, as this would have deserved more stars.Translating
Very quiet aire with all services. For €2, you can fill the water tank and empty the cassette and gray water. However, the metal flap must not be opened to empty the cassette. You have to pay to empty it at the Flot Bleu terminal. Parking is free outside the winter season.Translating
Great in summer and free. A shame it is somewhat sloped. Be careful: the token dispenser at the disposal area is out of order; use the terminal at the exit. It only accepts cards for emptying the cassette. There is a round metal flap on the front of the filling terminal. Beware, the climb is very steep—11 percent.Translating
Superb aire, free in summer. Breathtaking views and complete silence—in short, paradise. A shame it is not possible to take even a little water to rinse the cassette. Thanks to the municipality.Translating
Thanks to the municipality for making the aire freely available in spring and summer, with services available for €2. A very good initiative.Translating
Very quiet aire, with beautiful mountain views. Ski-in/ski-out access from the top of the parking area and return ski-in/ski-out from the bottom. Village 15 minutes on foot with a bakery, shops and restaurants. Nice small family resort. Prices decrease according to the length of stay: from €19 to €6 per day for one month.Translating
Tourist prices—far too expensive.Translating
Superb aire, very expensive. No snow clearing was done; there was one meter of snow under the entrance barrier. Poor maintenance, what a shame!Translating
Motorhome aire at €19 per 24 hours—completely outrageous. Not enough electrical hookups, so it is impossible to connect. All services also cost extra, even water and disposal. €19 just to park, with no services included. Very poor value for money; I strongly advise against it.Translating
Very well located at the foot of the Nordic ski slopes. Free shuttle 250 m away. The only drawback is that there are not enough hookups for all the motorhomes. Otherwise, excellent.Translating
Still such a beautiful place. Free until December 20.Translating
Free outside the season, but the services are not working.Translating
Great aire with a magnificent mountain view and electricity if needed (paid, but I think €2 for four hours, which is reasonable). The lower parking area is much larger, flatter, excellent, and free in summer.Translating
Quiet, peaceful place with a lovely view. Parking is free in summer, and you have to buy tokens at the terminal for the services: €2 for 20 minutes of water and electricity. Emptying gray water is still possible for free. We were just passing through but ended up staying several days because the place was so pleasant.Translating
€2 for 20 minutes: water, electricity and disposal. Parking is free in summer.Translating
Beautiful view; the Flot Bleu station works perfectly. With one €2 token, we were able to use the water and disposal facilities. Otherwise, the parking area was free. Great hikes start from the site. Many thanks to the municipality!Translating
Beautiful, quiet place with water and disposal services for €2. Great hikes nearby.Translating
Superb aire, currently free because it is outside the season. Extremely quiet, with a very pleasant view, and you can spot marmots on the surrounding hills. Ten minutes by bike from the resort center. The Flot Bleu token dispenser at the entrance is very temperamental; you have to press very hard. Bins are 300 m away along the main road.Translating
Extremely quiet in this low season. Water point works. The screen on the reception terminal for obtaining tokens is temperamental; you have to press hard.
Aire on two flat levels, snow clearing is fine, Flot Bleu electricity and water working, shuttle service 300 m away to the resort center, hiking and cross-country skiing departures, passes and recycling all 300 m away. Perfect! Amazing view!
A shame about the change of management: no snow clearing and no gas on site. The tourist office was not informed; the winter/summer 2024–2025 brochure says gas service is available. There are also not enough 220 V outlets.
No more gas distribution and no snow clearing. You can really feel the change of management. On the other hand, the person present at the aire is very competent.
How can a motorhome parking area be made available for the winter season, especially in the mountains, when motorhomes mainly use gas for heating, and then the existing gas depot installed by the previous management team be removed?
This aire could be excellent, but the municipality chose to entrust its management to a private company. No more gas service, so we had to drive back down to Taninges. During our snowy stay, there was no snow clearing, which is deplorable for a ski resort. There were no bins on site either. Very disappointed; services have deteriorated. The owners only want to make money!
Very good motorhome aire with fairly large pitches and everything nearby. Problem with the barrier, which does not open after payment; perhaps an adjustment would solve it. A shame there are no bins!
We stopped only for services as the terminal at Les gets is out of order at this time. Select 1 hour entrance on the barrier and 0 persons so you are not charged the tourist tax or a 24 hour fee. Flot blue token for fresh water and disposal (incl black water) for €2. All works well and is clean. The parking and view looks nice too. Keep your ticket as you need the personal code to exit.
The area could be perfect if access to the service point and exit routes were cleared of snow regularly.
Very nice area. Large pitch Few people Everything works well Perfect
