Unnamed Road, 33158, Ballota
Been here?
A wild, grassy parking area beside the small Ermita San Rocas, with spectacular sea views and space for about 15 vehicles or more. Parking is permitted day and night, and the Playa del Silencio is 14 minutes away. Access is steep and the grass can become muddy after heavy rain, making the approach difficult. There are no services apart from a rubbish bin, and recent comments mention high grass, darkness and mosquitoes.

Great place with a sea view. Thank you!
The grass is quite high, so there is no sea view! And it is very dark.
Exceptional view and location. There is plenty of space, but we were alone. Highly recommended.
Exceptional view of the ocean and Playa del Silencio, only 14 minutes from this spectacular beach. Parking allowed day and night, next to a small chapel. One bin on site, no other services. Space for around fifteen vehicles, perhaps more; it is a large grassy plateau perched at an altitude of 300 m. Immaculately clean, not a scrap of paper or a cigarette butt.
The place and the views are beautiful, but in the evening thousands of tiny mosquitoes attacked us and we had to leave!
A really beautiful place with a great view. We spent the whole day in the sun on a small flower meadow. It was really lovely. We had no problems getting there.
Magnificent place with an unobstructed sea view, at the foot of a small chapel. Access may be difficult after heavy rain because the ground is grassy, but in dry weather there is no problem. We spent the night here.
The road there is extremely steep and the place is impassable because of the mud. You cannot park there now without getting stuck; judging by the tracks, several people have already been stuck. It was also very windy. I drove on. The view is very beautiful, though.
As the other reviews say, the place is really great. The atmosphere is very relaxed with the other campers, and the locals who came to pick mushrooms did not seem bothered. The spot deserves its rating as long as it stays clean! (Bin available.)
Wonderful, peaceful place.
A breathtaking view early in the morning, very quiet, just a stone's throw from the magnificent Playa del Silencio. The road resembles a mountain road, so the engine needs a bit of power to get there. (Please put your paper in the bin; this is not an open-air toilet.)
The view is spectacular, the ground is flat, and we spent a very peaceful night!!!! The motorway is nearby, but we did not hear the traffic! More than perfect for overnighting.
Excellent grassy clearing with an enchanting ocean view and absolute silence at night. At least five motorhomes can fit comfortably. The climb to get there is very steep but manageable on a wide, straight road. A rubbish bin is available.
The motorway does pass right below it after all... Otherwise, everything else matches the description.
Wonderful place, great view, no services. The road up the mountain is quite steep. Pure nature.
PERFECT place for overnighting. Clearing in the middle of the forest with incredible views. Places like this are a pleasure; they must be respected and appreciated.
A perfect ten, super quiet. Let’s respect the place and nature. Let’s leave it clean as we found it, and don’t forget to contribute to its upkeep; they will surely appreciate it and the place will last longer.
Perfect pitch, magnificent view, lots of space; many people can stay without being crowded. Next to a small chapel.
Very beautiful and busy place, but everyone respects one another, except when some motorhome owners think they are on a campsite and completely misunderstand the van-life spirit!
Spectacular view! Lots of people, but the place is very spacious. We spent a very quiet night. Please leave the place clean and put a small coin in the letterbox as a thank-you.
Spectacular view. About ten vans, but the place is spacious, so it was not bothersome. We recommend it!!
