Camping Breitenbrunn

As a family, we give it five stars. Well-maintained, clean grounds, many play options for children, and a free kids' club. Yes, the restaurant is expensive, but understandably so, since it caters to marina guests, not campers in swimsuits and flip-flops. But camping means lighting the grill, eating outside, and ending the evening comfortably by the motorhome. We felt completely at home and will definitely return!

Magnificent views. All facilities are available and clean. Restaurant is expensive, but those are just Austrian prices?

The facilities and site are very beautiful and quiet. You can cycle to the nearby small villages. Not much going on, just a place to relax. Our only drawback is that the lake is muddy and the water is poor. We will not return because we enjoy swimming, but the water here was really disgusting.

You should consider whether you really want to allow campers with dogs here. Dogs are not allowed on the sunbathing lawn directly beside the pitches. Otherwise, the pitches are good, but there is no shade and you are exposed to the sun, especially those at the front by the lawn. You pay more, but you also get more sun. Not suitable for campers with dogs.

The campsite is beautiful and close to the lake. The beach resort in front of it is nicely laid out. The upscale restaurant is expensive, as is the beach bistro. The nearest traditional wine tavern is about 5 km away, so it is reachable by bike. I stayed from May 29 to May 30. Cost for me and my camper: €30.50. Nice pitch close to the water.

Quiet campsite in front of the lake. The sanitary facilities and common areas are spotless. Apparently, the restaurant and summer bar have been renovated; it is very pretty. I did not give five stars because €49 for one night with a van and two people is expensive for parking-space-style pitches. I will add some photos.

I have known this place for many years, and unfortunately it has changed a lot. Poor value for money. Easily accessible by train and bicycle, with better conditions for cyclists. Therefore, not recommended for motorhomes.

We paid €44 per night for two people in our van. Considering that the “pitches” are simply parking spaces and the old, musty-smelling, dirty sanitary facilities, it is too expensive. Many long-term campers. The laundry room was completely filthy. Outside, they present it as luxury; inside, it has the feel of an 1980s swimming pool and a parking lot. Never again.

Good site with access to a large public sunbathing lawn with a huge playground, snack bar, boat dock, surf rental, and restaurant. Visitors also use the toilets. Showers are only for camping guests and require a chip. The washhouse is somewhat dated. The price is reasonable for this region, but it is not a bargain. We will return.

First camping trip in my life; I usually stay alone for one night without infrastructure. Plenty of space, with no noise from nearby campers; a good beach with showers, grassy areas, and volleyball; and a restaurant. Drawbacks: many flying insects, the lake is not comfortable for swimming, and the washing machine is expensive and accepts only cash, with no change. Washing and drying cost us €20. €60 for one night.

You can see that a lot has recently been invested in renovating the site, although the area for motorhomes and caravans is not impressive. There is no pool, even though a pool icon appears among the services; it would be welcome because the lake water is the color of concrete. Still, I saw people rubbing themselves with clay from the bottom of the lake, and after swimming I noticed that my own skin felt smoother and shinier. I did not notice any unpleasant smell.

The beach and actually the entire site are blasted with loud music from the new restaurant from early evening onward. Otherwise, it is a very beautiful facility.

Clean and pleasant, but expensive for what it is. I paid €26 alone with a small converted van. Be careful with the washing machine: card payment does not work, and the machine does not give change.

Very very nice place! With Jacht club, lake is beautiful, perfect for kite surfers. Just dont forget to take repellent from mosquitoes! These are crazy arround here during evenings.

June 2024: At the moment, there is a little construction work. The site is being expanded. Sanitary facilities are clean. The campsite itself lacks charm, with more gravel than grass. The lake is nice to look at, but unfortunately very muddy.
