2 HESJÖBADET, 570 82, Målilla
Been here?
A simple nature campsite beside Hesjön lake, with a beautiful bathing area and walking trails around the lake. The overnight fee is 100 SEK, paid in cash or by Swish, and the site has toilets, rubbish bins and accessible lake facilities including a wheelchair ramp. There is no fresh-water or waste disposal service. The nearby road is audible, and late arrivals may struggle when campers park irregularly.

Very beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately, campers park in a disorderly manner, leaving no chance for those arriving late in the day. What a shame. We will look further afield.
Nice and peaceful place by the lake. Wonderful trails for hiking around the lake and in the forest.
These are the kinds of places we love: manageable, simple, with basic facilities, quiet, and payment made into the mailbox. In the low season, hardly busy at all—only three vehicles stayed overnight.
It was unfortunately still too cold for swimming, but the bathing area is very nice. The site is worth the 100 SEK.
We liked it very much: 100 SEK, with a small note including the license plate placed in a mailbox. Short walk to the beautiful lake with a lovely swimming area. Nice hiking trail around the lake. No waste disposal or fresh-water facilities, pit toilets, and garbage containers.
There are plenty of pitches here, and the site is beautifully located in nature. It’s easy to access the lake, where you can go for a refreshing swim or enjoy a peaceful walk along the shore. The natural surroundings make it a perfect spot to relax and unwind, with lots of space and a calm, scenic atmosphere.
Campsite at Hesjön bathing area; a beautiful hiking trail around the lake also starts here. Overnight stays cost 100 SEK. The busy Route 23 between Målilla and Hultsfred can be heard faintly. If you are really looking for a nature campsite, you are much better off a few kilometers farther on at Stora Hammarsjön.
Great lake! A good place for one night for us, even though it was somewhat noisy. For one night, you need 100 kronor in cash or Swish!
We found the place beautiful, located close to the water (no lake view). It is a meadow between the road, forest, and lake. The bathing area was popular with families, who had all left by evening, leaving us almost alone with the idyllic lake. Beautiful rocky landscape around the lake and forest. You can hear the road, but it did not bother us. Only a pit toilet, but we have a toilet in the camper. Only a few campers were there.
Beautiful bathing area, also suitable for children. Two tire swings, shallow access to the water for children, and a wheelchair ramp into the water. Jetty and diving tower for swimmers. Clear water. Plenty of seating with lake views, partly covered. The pitch is partly gravelled. Several tent pitches with great views and fire pits. A fire pit with a grill grate right on the beach.
Great location. The trail around the lake is nearly 6 km, mostly through the forest. Small seating areas by the water offer the chance to eat with a view of the lake. The sanitary facilities are only for the very tough. The site is used a lot by families with children and is lovely for them. I deducted 2 stars for the toilets and the noise level. Children are allowed to make noise, but those who want peace...
The location by the lake is perfect! Since you have everything you need in a motorhome, the nature campsite is perfectly fine. The site is large enough, and caravans can find space too. The lake is beautiful and there are hiking trails all around it. Yes, the pit toilets at the swimming area are showing their age. We liked it. Good value for money.
Ok for a stop over night. Lake and swim ok. One toilet, dry toilet, for all guests including visitors to the lake.
