Been here?
A parking area with several large spaces, some litter bins and no visible camper prohibition signs. It is a good starting point for walks or bike rides and lies near the city, canals, lakes and a restaurant. Traffic is audible and can be louder at times, while recent stays also reported repeated cars circling the camper; toilets were closed and only limited water access was available.

It could be an excellent parking area if, as already written in another review, it were not a meeting place for gay men. We would have had no problem staying if cars with only men in them had not continued circling around the camper the entire time we were there. After a couple of hours, we left and did not stay overnight as planned because we did not want to be disturbed.
After a little more than two years, we returned to the place. We slept peacefully and all the parking spaces were empty. In the evening it was somewhat noisy from the road at times, but still acceptable. The toilets were closed again. We were able to fill a little water once using a watering can. Still great for dogs, with off-leash space and water nearby.
We had a good night. In the morning we enjoyed a walk and a geocaching Adventure Lab. When we returned from the walk, men started taking turns driving circles around the camper, while my husband was sitting alone in the front. It was a strange sight. A little later, we realized it was a gay meeting place. We left again.
Beautiful place to stay. Some passing cars in the evening, but quiet. A nice starting point for a bike ride and close to the city. There is a restaurant across the Groningerder. It is walkable and offers a beautiful view of the nature reserve.
Very quiet place. We were alone there, probably because of the time of year. The parking area is easy to find, and even if one is occupied, there are many other spaces. There is also a place to shower and toilets, but both were closed when we were there. The surroundings are great for walking or cycling into town. We would gladly return.
As a daytime parking area, it is great: 15 minutes by bike to the city center along the canal. The surroundings have many lakes and canals. It would probably work for a night in a pinch, but there are nicer places for that.
